Stop At Police Station Doesn't Stop Attackers

The proximity of police couldn't prevent two men from following a Des Plaines man and damaging his car with a baseball bat.

Um, if the reasons were not conflicting. How is ,I wanted to scare him because he was cheating on my friend, reason enough to chase a man down, destroy his car, and flee police?

Not a bright pair.

My favorite part of the report:

A startled police officer, stationed at the main desk, watched in amazement as Roman smashed the van's driver side window, driver side mirror, passenger side window, passenger side mirror and a headlight, according to police reports.

But to be fair, the next sentence said "Four officers ran out and ordered Roman to drop the bat ..."

My favorite was the next paragraph:

"The Explorer's driver ... threw the vehicle into reverse, hitting a light post and "handicapped parking" sign, damaging both, and barely missing officers chasing them ... The incident was captured on surveillance cameras ..."

What chuckle-heads!
