My daughter was on the noon show when Floppy threw a fish net over her head saying their was a monster. She was real little started to cry. THey took the camera off her and my husband said he was sorry she cried. Duane he expected her too

I remember watching the Floppy show as a kid. It was a great program to watch. I never missed a show (if I could help it). Duane and Floppy were a real joy to watch. I wish there were more kids' shows on like that. I would like to see more of the shows from the mid 70's through the early 90's brought back. I learned alot from them and I think today's kids would to. Please keep up the good work in keeping our memories alive. Thanks a ton!

I've wanted to know what happened to the Floppymobile he used to drive around in. Anyone know? I'd buy that thing. Can't remember what make it was,..it was tan with Floppy on it,..seems like either an old VW bus or a early Dodge van...but I could be wrong.

Duane and Floppy started earlier than the 70s. I am 50 and remember watching Duane and Floppy at noon with Russ Van Dyke when I was in elementary school,,,sick from school. When Duane Elliott suddenly passed away, I thought Duane and Floppy, should have gotton much more recognition. I glad to hear they are. Their names, legacy should live on,,,,,,YOUR A TRUE IOWAN IF YOU REMEMBER DUANE AND FLOPPY!! If not, you don't know what you missed!!!

I remember watching Floppy at noon and 3;30 in the afternoon every day I could!! The cartoons were the best part of the show, as I had the jokes memorized!
I also recall that the wonderful Montezuma school district took us to see Floppy.....IN THE 8th GRADE!!!!!
About 6 years too late, don't you think?

I lived in Iowa for a few years and got hooked on Duane and Floppy as I'd go home for lunch to catch the delightful duo. I thought I must be the only adult watching the show but one day they had a bunch of frat guys from Iowa State on set. They said that Floppy had quite a following at the University for Duane and Floppy's snappy humorous repartee. Duane Ellett gave many fond memories to adults and children alike and it's a wonderful legacy for him and his family.

I have 2 Floppy Banks circa 1965 that were a promotion from Home Federal. I would like to sell them. One is in perfect condition, the other one's rubber plug on the bottom of the bank is cracked (dried out) and cannot be used, but I have it. That bank's top is fine except for a few small scratches on one side. Both banks say 'Floppy Savers Club' on the front and 'Home Federal' on the both sides. The back is plain. Floppy is two tone orange with a red sweater and white bone. If you are interested, please respond to this post. I am in Des Moines. And yes, when I was a child I watched Floppy!
