What is it you are looking for about Cotton Plant? what kind of facts?
Like did you know: The Battle of Cotton Plant (also known as the Battle of Hill's Plantation or the Battle of Cache River) occurred on July 7, 1862 in Woodruff County, Arkansas, during the American Civil War. The Yankee's won.

My grandfather's parents both were dead before he was 1 year old. The family story says they are "buried in the Cotton Plant Cem. with headstones". I have not found any source to confirm. Names are Clay C. Welch, born abt 1864 in Jackson, Tenn. and Drucilla Coil (aka Coyle), born abt 1871 in Cotton Plant, both died before 1892.
Any advice, other than searching the cemetery grounds?

I would suggest that you get in touch with the person or persons that are in charge of the Cemetery in question. Ask that person about the names you are looking for.......and go from there.

I spent much of my childhood in cotton plant, being that both of my parents are from there as well as my grandparents. I still go regularly to visit with my grandmother whom still lives there (my grandfather is burried there). She aware of much about Cotton Plant and is able seek out other information.

I am curious about your family. I believe our families may be connected. My grandmother told me about her grandmother mother being Nancy Jane South and she was married to Artemus Coil. I have hit dead ends on finding out any info on them. Nancy Jane was reported to have been an American Indian. My grandma says her grandmothers name was either Dorinda or Dorcinda and she married a man named George Thomas Parker. If anyone has any info it would be most appreciated. Thanks Lisa

I lived in Cotton Plant until I was 21.Will always be home even though theres not much there anymore. I remember a hill behind the Davis house in the country I once went to,it is a Indian mound.A lot of soldiers were killed there. The Davis house is on a small hill on the road ,it is a brick house.Go past graveyard in town, follow the road, houseis on the left.Proably will have to ask permission.Lester Davis lived there till he died.Hope you can find what what you need there.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
