Could we have a coverup happening with the Durika Dump site on East Keeling Ave? Every month we see updates in the newspaper and in the council minutes about the ICI site but we never see or hear anything about the Durika site. Why is the question that is on many peoples minds here in Derry.

I think you are on to something here, wait and see, there are more problems with this town that truthful outcomes?

a cover up, i dont think so. you would need some officials to actually care and try to do something in order for a cover up to happen. why does the police chief not weigh in on this. could it be because there is no money in pursuing this or because he was told to step away? the ordinance officer of past did nothing. unless your grass was high or blue sign not on your house. it is time for the county to check on this. the DA and AG office to start investigating what is going on.
enough is enough. selective law enforcement is not right.

We have two local news sources / papers, both attended the meeting on monday, both have different reports on this topic? Now what is the real story, truth, or future outcome? The real outcome wil be the test of time, if Durika is doing something, then provide the public with the course of action, and project completion date. How about the DER mandate for this clean up? Oh and the council's legal responce, and determination? Mybe this information will be a part of the next meeting!

If we don't have some type of coverup happening here we have a lack of enforcement. Why in thw rold would they have gotten away with this for so long. And by the way why hasn't adjacent property owners like Chuck Cowan not also be cited? He has as much junk thrown in that woods as the Durika's do.

The only coverup here is that they have about thirty feet of junk buried on that Durika lot. Also Chuck Cowan owns part of that woods also and has just about as much junk thrown in that woods as the Durika family does but we have heard no mention of that FACT.

I feel yes we did have a coverup on this dump. Even The Latrobe's paper helped on this one. That is one reason why I never buy the Latrobe paper.

Last time I remember it being mentioned at the council meeting we where all told that it was going to court? that was months ago what happened? Are they being fined? Is there a plan to clean it up? I cant really give you an answer on what they are doing because everytime that you ask the mayor or the council president all you get is excuses or a plane old lie! Its time for action! remember this on tuesday at the polls! Vote in Randy and Chuck and I can asure you the ball will not be dropped again! Write me in for mayor and I can assure you that I will not let council just give a run around anymore! there will be answers and solutions to these problems!

Have you really gone up there and taken a good hard look? If you did you would see he hasn't really even made a dent in what is on that lot. Now that the trees are bare you can see just what is buried there. In order to get all that stuff out he needs to be digging at least 20 to 30 FEET DO0WN. And what about Chuck Cowans property right nexty to this mess it's just as badwith junk thrown all over that hill in the woods. He should also be made to clean his up. Sure Durika has removed some of the junk but he has a long ways to go before it should be given a clean slate.

I keep hearing about this dump site all the time yet I have no idea where it is. My only question would be is why was it allowed to happen in the first place since it's in town? I know both Ron Durika and Chuck Cowan and I find it hard to believe they would do something like this. If they did they need to do the right thing and clean it up.
