Bravo? intelligent question? Does James H. Smith have small or teenage children still in the public school system.
Has James H. Smith done any research of the number of inmates in our Correctional system and where these men and woman come from and what schools they went to and how many are drop-outs. A large percentage of correctional inmates shall be considered as the biproducts or our failing educational system. The saga continues till this day, not too long ago most kids droped out and turn to a life of crime and ended up in jail. Today many are going to jail or involved in criminal activity before even cosidering droping out.
Shoul we wait for students to continue blasting away innocent students and teachers with the AK's before installing cops or metal detectors in schools.
I'd like to see James face when he is confronted by one of the biproducts of our failing educational system. After I'd ask "were you scared?"

We didn't used to have cops and metal detectors in schools, what we had was DISCIPLINE. Parental AND school administrative. When I was a kid and got in trouble at school (which was very rare), I was more afraid of the punishment I would get at home, but the punishment at school was strict too. People are too busy abdicating personal responsibility when it comes to their children to actually do any REAL parenting. And then they get all pissy when someone else attempts to discipline their children! You can't have it both ways people - either step up and TAKE CARE of your children or DON'T HAVE ANY.
