They stop the law abiding.

If criminals were prosecuted, it might be a different story.

You are absolutely right Mr. Miller!
More gun laws will not have any effect on criminals. Hand held scanners are a good tool to find guns on persons when taken into custody or when transfered with-in the system.
Thank you for supporting my 2nd Amendment rights.

Finally I actually got it. Thanks Joe and Lynne. We all should be happy that our friend, Joe just got out of jail for selling pot.

That's not entirely true Sam, I was selling pots, clay pots. The trouble was that I broke one over some bas-tard's head who tried to walk away with one!

Bad news, Joe is still in jail, and to make him happy, I had send him a package of items that he requested. Hope to see him soon.

True Sam, it came down to the poor judgement of Ms. Lanza. But the vast, overwhelming majority of gun violence is inner city stuff. I think the laws should focus in that. The Sandy Hook incident ought to mean refinement to the access clause of legally owned firearms. Ms. Lanza should have been forced by law to prevent her son from gaining access to her guns.

Holy Shart, that is unpleasant stuff, but fascinating. The stats are true, but many of the inferences are way off base. Still, truth should be known.

You want to stop gun violence..No bl@cks or hisp@nics can buy or posess a firearm..They account for 70%+ of ALL firearm fatalities..See F.B.I. Stats...Not P.C. but accurate..

Who is going to lose their job over this massacre? We entrust the school to watch over our kids and have a Board of Ed to make the decesions on how to do so. Yet something like this happens and we keep the same people on board who KNEW that a massacre like this couldn't be stopped with the current security measures. What the hell is wrong with the way people think now a days.

The children had not even been buried yet and politicians like Dianne Feinstein, Senator from California, gets on her podium trying to push her weapons ban again. Really, Dianne??!!
Now some CT. lawyer is trying to sue the town of Newtown, for a family's daughter who survived the shooting, for $100 million! What is wrong with people? Are they that self-centered and greedy thinking only what they can personally get out of this tragedy?
We live in a sick world and no amount of laws can control a human mind when it sets out to be destructive and self-satisfying.

The only person who should be punished is already dead- Mrs. Lanza. Schools simply cannot be made safe against someone with an AR-15. Would it make you feel better if the entire board is fired? Because it won't fix a thing.

Yeah, I saw this. Irv Pinsky is not only a pig, but an attention whore as well. Enough damage has been done, MANY kids were traumatized, and now Pinsky, in his greedy pig "wisdom" mode, is going to put these kids through that hell all over again, for money. What as asshat.

You're absolutely correct Citizen44. It's good to know that there are still some of us out there who have reason and actually have their eyes open.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
