It's about time for the Newport-Derby area to have at least one box store and it looks like the builders are bending over backward to help the town get things going. Downtown Newport can survive as a specialty store area as buisness attracts business and people will come to Newport City if there is more than one reason to come ie. restaurants, use of the waterfront which is beautiful etc.
Why send our money to New Hampshire or even St. J which just might beat Newport to the punch.
