she had better be very careful if she even tries to steal back one of the animals....they are all in better homes now...and she will be punished for what she has done...

<quoted text>*****You,Like My Neighbors, and others, too Quick to Judge someone without asking "What is Going On?" You do not know the full story. I am a Rescuer. I have been for over 20 years. The Horse was worse and has gotten better! He was in a Pasture with 4 others. The rest are not Skinny! They were all fed the same(alfalfa Cubes & Pellets, Beet Pulp, Sweet Feed & Hay along with Grass in 4 seperate rotated Pastures. Apple & Oat Treets, Bread, Bagles & Sugar Cubes Too. Dewormed on schedule, he has had Coggins and was examined by 2 Vets. I take in Poor Animals Hairless & Skinny, Because no one else around here has the guts to do so! Why should I be punished because of what others did, I am helping the abandoned Animals?

To Vicki, your husband and son,

First, I do not know you personally.

I fostered, then adopted, one of your 'well cared for' dogs. She, number 39 as the rescuers dubbed her - Honey to us now, was severely underweight, had bite marks and holes in her ears, was bred at her first heat (according to the veterinarians who examined and spayed her), had ear mites, was flea-ridden and had feces and urine embedded so deeply in her toenails that it took weeks before her nails grew out enough that the smell subsided. All her teeth are in horrendous condition and her top four front teeth have fallen out because of the neglect and malnourishment she received while in your 'care'- she is only 3-4 years old. Is this your definition of 'well cared for'? Seriously? It has taken us two years to fully housebreak her because she was so used to living in squalor stuffed in a crate for her entire life that she didn't understand the concept of 'going outside'.

I am happy to report that she has a wonderful home now (with two canine sisters), is clean, well-fed, healthy and happy. She is the light of my life - a truly grateful and joyful animal. She wants for nothing.

She does, however, sometimes have dreams (as dogs do) where she barks, shakes and growls and I fear that she is dreaming of the hell she endured while under your 'care'. I know the dreams she has where her tail wags and her barks are light-hearted are dreams of the life she has now.

May you never own another animal ever again.
