The only reason marijuana is illegal is because the government can't tax it.
That is the truth, and look at what they could pay off with that tax money, We might get out of debt with China before they start flying their flag in OUR COUNTRY. People are going to smoke it just to put up with all thats going on in the world and I dont blame them its cheaper than the drugs the doctors put you on for you nerves, and no where near the side affects.

I totally applaud the mother for doing what she did. She might have possibly saved his life because, hopefully this will scare him straight. I know the young man personally and I can affirm that he was definitely going down the wrong path. At 16 years old, most kids need a wake up call to let them know that they aren't as tough and invincible as they think they are.
Take the boy to church get him envolved he needs help from his mother not a trip to jail, it's worse in there than it is out here. He may be on the wrong road but only God can turn him around burn his plants and pray for him. dont call the law on him sooner or later he will resent that and turn to the wrong kind of people for help.

The mother needs to call upon the Lord if she wants to help her son not the law. It's worse in jail than it is out, and sooner that later he will resent her for that, I've been there I know. When they get too big to whip, you have to step back and let them whip there selfs, just pray that they open their eyes before its too late and always be there for them when they fall, and calling the law on your own child is just pushing him farther away than he already is.

Ready4 what the hell are you talking about. The government doesn't make money off arrests. They lose money. They try to get it back through bails. But the truth is the amount of money that goes into building jails, hiring policemen, and all the money that goes into advertising is way too much. If the government was smart they'd legalize it so they don't lose all the "precious" money of there's.
He's talking about the BIG busts....7 or more pounds...they tax the person who is busted, but what good is that when they go to prison?

Well, well, well!!! Recent updates prove that the son has been put back on the right path. He has a fresh haircut, going to school on a regular basis, interacting with family a lot better. and overall, seems to be happier. Seems to me that something was done right.

Maybe he is okay now...but just think what it will be like when he gets a little bit older and can't find a job? Or when he's paying court fees? When he can't get a job because he has that on his record he will have no other option but to start growing marijuana again in order to make a living. Congrats to the mother or this son for needing Uncle Sam to help raise her child.

Thanks for reviving this 5 year old thread!

The war on drugs has been and continues to be a colossal waste of tax payer money.
