All the people do is gossip, if you move your kids here be prepared for the kids @ school to turn their noses up at them. If you didn't grow up here you aren't the inbred redneck they prefer. This town sucks, the people suck and everyone is a drunk or on heroin.

It is boring and dull, so trust fund babies and old snobs quit selling land to idiot developers who just construct hideous projects and borrow state money to do it..

I could not stop laughing as I read your post. I have been in Denver now for two years coming from the SF bay area and there are almost everything you said I agree with, except the snow which is beautiful but there is more to life than just looking at snow. Some of the people here are generally friendly, less agressive but there are not used to people who are different from them in terms clothes, interests and lifestyles. Place like Littleton is really like walking into the twilight zone, people literally stop and stare at you as if have just walked out of a space ship. I am not making this up just go there!

A number of people here have this snobby attitude towards, Texans, Californians and New Yorkers, almost as if they are unclear people and unworthy of friendship, you cannot wear clothes with bright looking colors because everyone looks at you as if you are an alien, differentiation is not respected here, so if you are young below 8 or above 65, this is the perfect place for you anyone inbetween you will get bored stiff, the terms : I am not a sport enthusiast will be met with a downcast face, the word ambition is another foreign thing here and finally never drive a nice car that is not a Subaru, audi, Kia or Hyuandai, this place is almost like a cult following.

And I forgot to mention people here are extra nosy they want to know everyhing about you lifestyle, some have no shame in trying to find out.

The great things here is that most customer service is polite, cost of living is reasonable all things being equal that is, it does get really warm here which is great, the cold can be brutal but it around for at least three to four months.

If you are single, which I was when I came here there is a very little group of decent women here and yes plenty of them are looking for a rich guy to sweep them off their feet, just go to starbucks and you will hear the woman speaking to their colleagues saying so.

I've lived in Las Vegas, Chicago, L.A., and Denver. I hate Denver with a vengence. It's filled with the same cookie-cutter, boring people. VANILLA! There is no nightlife, no culture; shopping is horribly limited, sky high car insurance and vehicle registration prices, land locked, ugly snow, cold ugly weather. It's a great place to live if you want to be married with children - YUCK!
If you're single this city is so so so painful. The people here are ugly and into the "natural" thing.
The girls here, especially in clubs, are terribly threatened towards someone flamboyant who actually likes to dress up when going out. Excuse me for not wanting to LIVE in blue jeans and shave my armpits.
The radio stations here! OMG! Please someone hand me a shotgun to end the misery! Crap, crap, crap.
Want an active social life and date your little ass off? Move to Vegas, but that's another blog; as I have a love hate relationship with that city.
Denver, you are a lame, banal cow-town! Good riddance!

There are gossipers everywhere but Denver, deserves a gold medel for it, people just have no shame, sticking their noses in one affairs. If you speak to one neighbor it is almost like speaking to everyone in county because everyone will know about the conversation. YUCK!

Denver has a troll community. That's pretty damned exciting. Maybe one will send you pics of her chest and you'll get a woody. Living the dream.
