As a Terrell (the Catawba county side of the Hwy 150 bridge) resident, we need bicycle lanes and sidewalks on a widened 150! Our children and us like to ride outside of our small neighborhoods and 150 is currently extremely dangerous. We strongly request bicycle lanes and sidewalks on any widened 150 and bridges! We are not second class citizens to Brawley School road (which got bike lanes and sidewalks). 150 should have been widened first (it was scheduled to start in 2014, then 2017, now 2019)...we might be killed cycling our road bikes on 150 before it is finished. 150 is a state highway and the only real road across the lake. Catawba County has recently installed water and sewer lines in this area (growth) all the way to new Hwy 16, which is good for getting to the airport down the west side of the lake. Hopefully, a widened 150, with bike lanes and sidewalks, will support the recreational environment here that the Lake hopes to represent.

Hwy 150 must be widened ASAP and traffic lights are needed for all major neighborhoods along the way. There needs to be a light at Greenwood Road in Terrell. There are roughly 100 homes down there and they all have to make a Left onto 150 to go to work, bring kids to school, etc.

I agree with DONE 2...it IS a state highway...ride your bikes down one of the side roads and stay off the highway !!...I grew up with a butt whooping if I got out on the highway. " IT IS TOO DANGEROUS !!"
We only had half the vehicles on that road then, and for sure, I would not be on that highway riding bikes today.
No need for all the stop lights either. I hate having to stop all the time for lights every road these days.
Sounds like a city slicker trying to be countryfied, HAHA.

It will cost the state a fortune to widen 150 in Mooresville. The N.C. DOT should have started this YEARS ago, long before they wasted millions on "The North Crouse Freeway.

That never did make any sense and was a huge waste of taxpayer dollars.
