Honestly, I don't think there is one! I have lived here for YEARS and haven't found a decent one yet.

SoHo is waaaay over priced. I was not at all pleased with any part of going there. When I left after paying close to $200 my hair was a good 5 inches shorter when i just wanted a little trim not a cut, it was completely fizzy and shaped like a helmet, my hair was a weird mixture of colors that are nothing like what I wanted and usually get back home, and you could still see my roots! I had to schedule an appointment the next day at my salon back home in wichita falls to go fix what this girl had done to my hair. I would never tell anyone I liked to go there.

I agree... Soho Salon is overpriced and the hair dressers are not professional at all

I went to Soho today and loved it. If you want a quick cut for $20 go to supercuts... You will pay $30-$50 for any place that isn't Procuts or Walmart. It was a very friendly environment and I'm glad I found a new place in Denton :) You get what you pay for most of the time, and I felt the $40 I paid for the cut/style I got today was well worth it.

Just got another great haircut from Rizzo's on Locust street. $40. I got three inches off, new bangs, wash/dry and style. The ladies there are super nice and always accomodating to walk-ins.

I like Outback Hair over by El Guapos. They've very reasonably priced, a great staff and have a website. If you're a student, you can get a wash and cut for $25.

i absolutely love jojo's hair salon, velva jo does my hair and it looks absolutely fabulous. it's not everday that a girl can get a teased up do for only $5 but velva jo she does it each and every time. she also does manicures and pedicures for $10 each. and she always provides free pimento cheese sandwiches and orange soda to her customers. she likes the color orange alot. anyhow go to jojo's down on main, you will love it.

Bill Stoneburner over at Billy Shears is "The Man" when it comes down to knowing hair and how to do it. A stylist for over 35 years assures you that you will not leave with fried hair. Call Bill

Bangs is right. Rizo's, which is located on North Elm, is a great place for hair. The ladies there are soooooo friendly and they do a great job for reasonable prices. Say "Hi" to Techy when you go!

I will be attending the University this fall and I was looking for any near by hair salons. I prefer a African American salon, but I don't think I'll find any near the University. I don't have a car, so the bus is my only primary way to reach the city so the closer the better.
