According to the Deming Headlight on July 9, "Luna County officials and Albuquerque-based Sites Southwest are inviting locals to have a direct hand in sculpting future policy during a series of comprehensive plan meetings. The first meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wed. July 25 at the special Events Center. More meetings will follow in Aug."

They hope to have public participation to ensure the community shapes the county's vision for regulations, projects, land use, housing, roads, water resources, parks, open spaces and economic development.

Well then maybe we should start the ball rolling by brainstorming some ideas, goals and visions of what we want and need for this community. This is everyone's opportunity who is interested in helping Luna County progress speak up.

I'm interested in knowing what ideas the Albuquerque firm has to offer or propose that may help Deming.
