Good to see the wheels of progress slowly turning on beautifying our city. The murals before (by DAC, Suncrest and Moose Lodge)have certainly added beauty and character to our city and I can hardly wait to see what the new ones will look like. Hats off to the DAC and Keep Luna County Beautiful for funding and sponsoring these projects.

Keep Luna County Beautiful has done a good job with their trash pick ups, weed cutting, and trash can painting to make our city more attractive. This desert may one day look like that oasis. If you envision it then it may become it one day. Maybe we can work on adding landscaping and more curb appeal to our downtown next.

Correction, meant to say "This desert town may one day look like that oasis." It takes a vision, planning, and everyone buying into it plus lots of enthusiasm and effort.

If your into murals you should check out the revised Town of Silver City's website. It showcases all the murals recently done in their area. They are very nicely done. As a matter of fact one reminds me of the mural at the old Columbus Elementary School by the sixth grade gymnasium. Great job. I believe Silver was in the running to get grant money to do these projects. What a treasure they will be and inspire young artists.
Kudos

Silver City youth were involved putting up a tile mural on the 12th Street Bridge called "Aqua es la Vida" or "Water is Life" as part of Comcast Care Day this weekend. Great job!
