Oct 25, 2008 Humm...
Responding to a fight... no back-up in sight...
Typical of the Luna County Sheriff. More than willing to pick up the pieces after the war is over, not willing or able to be there when the rubber is wearing out on the road.
And we passed a PERMNAMENT Border Security Tax for what reason again?... Oh yeah, so the Sheriff could purchase more toys for the good old boys in Deming.
Godspeed to Mr. King.
Some other God names that I choose not to disclose to our BORDER TAXING SHERIFF THAT DOESNT PATROL THE BORDER EVEN WHEN WE VOTE FOR TAX HIKES FOR HIM TO DO JUST THAT.
Keep voting Liberal Democrat. Keep getting Sheriffs that refuse to do what they need to do.

Oct 25, 2008 Where in hell did this fight take place? Does anybody know, was it in Mexico or the United States.
Some say it happened on this side of the border. If so why no backup? where was the U.S. Border Patrol, NM State Police, local Sheriffs Department.
Rumor is spreading that officer King was used as a soccer ball in front of a crowd. Was no action taken because the crowd was Mexican-American and Officer King is white. Is that why no one intervened. Any private security at this place of business? Doesn't the Columbus Police Chief have any kind of rapore with other local law enforcement agencies? Why no local news coverage
of this travesty. What's it going to take residents of Luna County!

the fight was a call from a bar here in the states.wes had no back up because of the new chief having no clue how and what nor did he care what to do.the sheriff was called in to help but refused the call.state police then showed up later after the fight.border patrol was the ones to help wes.the new chief only has in his mind what can he get from the city, how many women he can get,and how to screw over the officers in columbus cause he was told to do so by the sheriff.it is sad what happened to mr king because he could have been killed and his so called chief didnt care nore did he bother to secure or cover his officers.

Bartended by Blas "Woody" Gutierrez, former trustee and son to Roberto Gutierrez another former teacher fired from Deming High School, former Trustee and brother-in-law to Mayor Eddie Espinoza.

There is only ONE legal bar in town owner by the same peopel who run the Fina SA JOSE gase station.

Wes King aint dead. Makes me wonder why he aint dead. 7 on 1? Drug infested town? Sheriff too far away to back him up? King quoted by others about a rift with the Mayor?

I think that Mr. King was set up and shown the door by the Mayor since he couldnt fire him for notbeing a chief. Otherwise he'd be dead.

And as for Woody and Gabby, they've always done me right and I hope they get their lives back. I don't trust federal cops any more than I trust any other cops. They're all crooks on the take. Plus, as a libertarian, I don't consider drug trafficking unethical; it's simply supplying goods to a willing market. And remember, we don't know *anything* yet about what really went on. The charges could all have been trumped up, so the Feds can put their own crooks in charge for a bigger slice of the drug money.
In reading your posts, I wonder if you believe in the Constitution. Do you believe in the sovereignty of our country?

It appears that you take a "live and let live" approach to all laws. The fact that someone has "always done me right and I hope they get their lives back" does not mean that because they meet your approval, that they obey the law!!! We are a country of laws!!

Unfortunately there are too many people like you! That's the reason our country is circling the drain!!!

No, I believe in the sovereignty of the individual. So did the framers of our republic. Have you read the Constitution? It's a pretty good document, if only our government and the state governments would follow it.

We are a country of too damned many laws; so many, that almost everybody breaks one or more every day. I jaywalked just yesterday, in fact.

On the way there from Hachita, i thought, I would rather be shot in Palomas than die a long slow death in a New Mexico nursing home.
You may have a point there, but....surely those two aren't the only choices?

It's odd to me that " OMG" doesn't know what she is talking about NPR does it have reference to a topic. I know the family very well his family loves and respects him for sure. Mr frietze worked hard for what he has. Retired from wsmr, served in the navy worked for RCA the Catholic Church and even penned a successful book. I'm sure his father in law had nothing to do with that. What you clearly don't know is A LOT omg
