This sure sounds encouraging for the green energy crowd.

I wonder how this fits with the presidents plan to turn the country green?

""Utility-owned solar is a much more cost-effective resource than distributed generation because of the economy of scale and also because you have more ability to site the facility for optimal energy production," said PNM spokeswoman Susan Sponar. "But our program has been important for solar vendors and customers who want to install solar, so we believe it still has a place in our program.""

Yeah, more cost effective for whom? When you build large acreage solar facilities that have no storage capability like Concentrated Solar that has the ability to store heated working fluid for use after sunset and on cloudy days, then it is LESS efficient than putting a 3 or 4KW peak solar PV system on one's roof. The large plants have to be in relatively remote areas just to get the amount of land necessary for the installation. Then you have to ship it to market over a power corridor. The ratepayer gets to pay for the remote solar facility AND the power corridor in their utility bill every month. The utility is claiming distributed is not as efficient as large utility owned installations. How is filing EIRs, going to court to defend the project, then installing the PV arrays, in which the voltage will have to be stepped up in order to put it into the power grid. Then it will have to be stepped down to be used by the home's circuit breaker panel. So, step up, step down loses are more efficient than putting a 3 or 4KW solar PV array on one's roof and generate the power when and where it is needed. Yeah, riiiiggghhhhttttt.

Wonder why they paid solar operators to not produce power. You kids stick to your backwoods news...You are far too stupid to be involved in national news topics. There is more to news than Fox news. Run along now idiots. Grown ups are talking.

So is the church of climate denial. Let's keep the discussion on the science and leave religion out of it, all right?

NOBODY has ever denied that climate exists. Weather changes everyday. It's you global warming nuts everybody laughs at. Remember when you used to cry global cooling in the 70's?

Unless science says that the climate has been changing for several hundred millions of years, it's flawed.

The evidence points to a story of continual climate change since the word go.

What was the population of the world 1 billion years ago?

How many animals and people were present 700 million years ago?

How many cars were there and how many factories were there 1 million years ago?

Where was the southern edge of the glaciers 1 million years ago?

based on the models science has already produced they have already disproved their own theory of global warming as being man made.

I remember "Global Cooling" in the '70's. They talked about spreading slag and coal dust on the ice caps to help them melt.

I suppose the ice caps melting on mars is also because of man or maybe it's Bush's fault.
