Births at U.S., Mexico border are down
For decades, it's been a very costly and concerning reality in Southern New Mexico: Women from Mexico, in labor, coming to the border to have customs agents call for a New Mexico ambulance, to take them to a New Mexico hospital to give birth-- all on the taxpayers' dime.

Now that Palomas has a place for pregnant women to deliver their babies, the next step would be for Mexico to help Palomas get their own ambulance to transport their emergencies to Ausencion, Chihuahua. It's the closest city to Palomas besides Juarez. It should be up to Mexico to help there own people out, not the US taxpayers.
