Great another hack recycled from the Conrad era. Just look at his Bio: Chief of Human Resources, Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, 1995-1998

Looks like the BWC will be cooking the books again.

"Kasich, who will become governor Jan.10, said he wanted to make the bureau more responsive to the needs of businesses that pay to support injured workers."

How about helping the people who get injured..oh thats right...its all about keeping money in the employer's pockets. Things are going to get even worse for the working man/woman in 2011. So sad.

Finally a BWC Director who understands business. The benefits for workers injured are set by law so they get what they are due. Buehrer knows he can stop the current anti-business BWC from continuing to harm the state and actually create an agency that will help job creation in Ohio. This move is good for everyone.

Way to get the ball rolling Kasich, let's turn this state around from the "do nothing mentality" that has caused Ohio to suffer from previous leadership.

Sir,
Having worked there, I can attest that Mr. Buehrer is a polictical animal as was his mentor James Conrad. He was there as part of the hierarchy who bought the rare coins. Remember?

However, the Bureau did have some professional insurance administrators serving the system well.

You don't say how BWC is anti-business. It was not set up to create jobs.

Appointing a politician to head the state crime lab? Here comes the Kasich "good ole boy network."

This State Senator is the politician who introduced the "castle doctrine" into a legislative framework against the advice of Ohio's 88 elected county prosecutors. Now criminals are using this unneeded piece of legislative horse ka-ka to shield themselves from their drug-dealing trade.

Too bad a career forensic professional was not given this position.

The real workers in this state are screwed. Good luck in getting a legitimate claim approved.
