This location is wonderful. For price and for the variety you can't beat this buffet.

What a rip-off!! Since 3 Asian buffet restaurants opened up at the same time in the West End everyone has been going all out to get people in the door. This one is advertising "crab legs on the dinner buffet, no extra charge". What that amounts to is a small platter of cold snow crab legs put out over ice, about enough for 4 people to get a serving, and then at intervals of 15 to 20 minutes another small amount is brought out--as soon as 3 or 4 people get theirs, everyone else waits to try for the next platter. This is definitely by design as since they are cold they can't use the excuse that this is all the steamer can produce every so many minutes, etc. I complained to the manager to no avail. The rest of the food is typical large quantity-low quality taste. Would definitely not go there again and would not recommend it to anyone. One of the three restaurants has already closed, and this one deserves to do likewise.

What a shock! Once you walk in you are mesmerize by the decor. Right when you walk in there is a beautiful waterfall. The food bar also looks amazing.
The disappointment and disgust was after I got my food. As soon as I sat down a waitress walk right behind my sister's seat and wrung out her rag that she use to clean the table. If you stand at the exit (with the door behind you) and look straight ahead all the way in the corner booth was where my sister and I sat. Between the booth and the wall is a gap about a 12 to 18 inches wide. So as we were eating the wait staff would go behind my sister's seat and dip their rag in the bucket and wring it out. It was disgusting, we both lost our appetite and left. If you eat here make sure you check behind your seats! We will never return to this Teppanyaki again!!

I visited the one in the Whitman Plaza mall at Oregon Ave. and my experience was HORRIBLE! I give credit to the African-American seater/hostess though because she was fantastic. Very happy with a broad smile, cheerful, and even started a small conversation with us. However, after her, the waitress that was assigned to us was very rude, disrespectful, and grouchy. Though I know it's common for them to take your eating utensils if they're still on the plate and you were done everything, she took our utensils when they were purposely separated from the finished plates and all the way at the back of the table where it would troublesome to reach. On top of that all we asked was for a refill and we were given the wrong drink with rolling eyeballs. Also, there's a sign next to the entrance inside that stated college student discounts. When I presented my college ID to the waitress we were assigned to, she rolled her eyeballs, transferred all her weight to one side, and said it wasn't possible! Dumbfounded, we asked another waitress. We weren't able to even eat comfortably because as one of us went up to get more foods an she was walking by behind her eyes were expressing a teenage "I don't care. Go to hell" kind of look while turning her entire head and neck since she was walking in a different direction. Though we were expecting a lot because we received a really good experience in the beginning, we were highly disappoint with the rest of the service. No need to mention, but we obviously didn't leave any tips.
