Bloods Hammock Groves was a fucking gay cruising spot for old Jewish retirees. They got sick and tired of cleaning up the mess left behind by these gay geezers, so they shut down shop. If you're looking for a hot place go in South Florida where you won't have to deal with closed down places, old men or gays, I recommend the Seven Seas on Red Road in Miami. Another good place is Loggerhead's in the Grove for Mexican Monday's. Over in Broward, I recommend Scarlett's. There are a lot of hot young broads with great, big fake boobies. Now we're talking, Sun Sentinel.

Butterfly World is the biggest ripoff I've ever encountered in my extensive travels. Husband and I took 3 grandkids there at a cost of nearly $100...and it was a TOTAL waste of money. Should have just spent it in the tacky gift shop upon entering so I'd at least have SOMETHING for my money. Go to the Children's Museum in downtown Ft Lauderdale. Much, much, better.

One of the best you seem to have overlooked is "Flamingo Gardens" in Davie. The orange grove, original '30's house and botanical gardens are an exceptional piece of true South Florida.

They are certainly "Tourist Traps" at an average of $20/head. You spend $100 for family of four and come away feeling a little queasy for the substandard experience most of these venues offer. No wonder TV/Movies/Video games are so popular.
All the money is is the exterior sign/building to such in the gullible, PT Barnum's descendants are alive and well in the 21st century! There is a sucker born every minute......

What about South Beach? The locals with their colorful plumage, strange mating rituals, unusual methods of transportation.....

What? There is nothing to do anywhere in South Florida. I leave this area as often as possible to visit other parts of the US where there are interesting places. That Butterfly World should be torn down as it is the dullest place on the planet. There are no old, historical towns here. There is simply nothing interesting to do. Museums are wonderful places to spend time but there aren't any of those here either. What a shame. I am to the point where I feel all palm trees are completely ugly. Yes, I plan to relocate when possible.

Butterfly World should be put out of business. The place could not be any duller. Butterfly World is not for anyone. Awful.

One warning about Lion Country Safari, don't go in a convertible!! A few years ago our trip nearly ended in disaster when a lion started clawing through our cloth roof.
Luckily I carry a gun and a warning shot backed it off enough to allow us to get out.
