I don't know which sources in the Democratic Party Anthony Man is protecting, but he was firsthand eyewitness to qualified voters turned away during delegate selection on March 1, 2008, at Volunteer Park in Plantation. The voters got there after 12:30 pm when the Broward Democratic Party said the polls were closed, but before 1:00 pm when the Florida Democratic Party web site said they were open. Anthony saw and heard the complaints and a voter had in his hand a copy of the FDP web site saying it was 1:00 pm.

So what did good reporter Anthony Man do with this story of blatant voter disenfranchisement? Man turned 180 degrees and walked quickly out of the room like he didn't want to hear or see anything more.

It would of course be scurrilous for anyone to say that good reporter Anthony Man is bed with someone in the Broward Democratic Party.

Anthony Man's cutest editorial gimmick is to say that Reesey was "hired by former Sheriff Ken Jenne."

In fact just about everybody currently in the Sheriff's office was "hired by former Sheriff Ken Jenne" and "kept on" by Sheriff Al Lamberti. That's so obvious that it's not even news, least of all serious investigation.

So why did Anthony Man bother to say it? It appears that Man wishes make something out of nothing, if it's cute and gets some chuckles. That's the denigration of civil society with our trividia (trivia + media) leading the charge, if it sells a few click advertising throughs.

To paraphrase a quote in Mr. Man's bio about politcians, "Many columnists are decent, thoughtful, smart and hardworking. A few are phony, cynical, dumb or lazy."

I couldn't have said it better.

He made the point about her being hired by Ken Jenne to show the caliber of person...passing the buck...Snipes did not spread any rumors about Reesey...It is a known fact that she campaigns on government time...and taxpayer dime...
