As a former employee with tower, I believe she should take some blame for the mismanagement that runs rampent through the whole company! A.O. Smith had skilled/able management and then Tower came in with the boys club mentality led by Dug Campbell. I saw them as getting too big for their britches/unmanageable! I doubt that this company will ever come out of bankruptcy!(GC-UAW3206)

Kelly; Dug Campbell made out like a bandit his salary was 330,000 until 2006 and medical insurance for life.330,000 as a consultant, not counting the benefits he had prior to this?including stock, this company will get out of bankruptcy but it is going to be bought by a hedge fund and will eventually start over in the South.I really feel sorry for anybody who starts working for them in the South because they will eventually be in the same situation,Wilbur Ross will eventually buy it or some other conglomerate and sell it.Tower used to be a good company to work for, it will eventually be sold and employees will be screwed.

hello;Tower Automotive is one of the worst managed, most troubled companies I have ever worked for.Plants are closing, executives are seeking funds through the bankruptcy court to protect themselves from lawsuits for the second time,Plymouth had layoffs too, since March 31st they hired people August 14th just to turn around and lay them off, supposedly Plymouth was a money maker for them Chrysler invested money in it to start building frames for the 07 Jeep Wrangler.Indiana just had some lay-offs,One of their plants in Canada also just closed. There is a plant down south that just hired a bunch of people, over 250 people which included skilled trades and production salaries were between 9.00 and 16 dollars per hour 9.00 for production and 16.00 for skilled trades, also on October 13th they let some people go from their Novi office, that is why I mentioned everything in my last posting something is about to happen.I just want to wish everyone that works for this so called company, and has the nerve to call us all colleagues,I hope you all move on to better employment or to better situations,This company is history even if you work for them in the south.GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

I couldn't agree with you more Tower employee Plymouth. I just got laid off on Oct. 13. The HR told us that 20-30 more within the next 90 days yet, the HR told people that were still there that didn't know if anymore layoffs were going to happen. They don't know which lie to tell to whom at the Kendallville plant. Good Luck to all!!

Did any one from Tower Go to see Kathleen Speak? When I worked for McIntosh the Pres. spoke to me on a first name basis.I Have never even Seen our current Pres. At least Dug would speak to me and acnowlage I exist!!! I am glad I am out of here. I am really sorry for the rest of you, we were sorely misled.I hope you all can get past this.I really mean that. We all need to take care of our families and ourselves. They couln't offer me enough to stay. Do you think I am bitter? damn right. they really screwed up a good thing.
