Rise of Salisbury gangs concerns law enforcement

SALISBURY - When city officers drove their police cruisers onto Glen Avenue, they witnessed a large crowd running from the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

The police and our local officials have fail us on this issue.These gangs operate openly on the street with little fear of the police It is time to arm yourselves and be prepare to take action protect ourselves from these thugs. The only thing these gangs understand death and destruction. I suggest we give it to them in spade. When we beginning thinnng the herd this problem will be solved.

The police are the most dangerous gang in the country. They let these other gangs operate so they profit from it. The police are not on your side, they think you're trash and will bully and/or kill you if you come to their attention. The police are better thugs than the gangs and they don't have to worry about prosecution, they get away with whatever they do. Get a clue before they kill you!

The police have not failed, society has failed. Unfortunately, the police are limited in what they can and can't do by our elected officials. If you want them to take a tougher stance on gang violence, then perhaps you should vote for someone more interested in empowering our police instead of punishing them repeatedly for trying to do a tough job. Every time a police officer discharges their weapon, they have to file a multitude of reports and generally, those same officers are benched until an inquiry can examine if they had a right to fire their weapons. Every time a police officer tries to subdue a criminal, they face charges of police brutality now. So please don't blame the police, it is not their fault. Blame the politicians, blame the special interest groups, and blame the parents who refuse to raise their children right and encourage criminal behavior.
