The older guy is still rotting away as far as I know. Nut this did happen and I still miss my friend

The young girls name was Tiffany Sabourin. She was my cousin. Her mother Dawn is still suffering after all of these years. Now she can't stop drinking & is very non-social...still feels her death was her fault. She won't talk to anyone about her feelings. I feel bad for her but then again everyone is fed up with her still moarning & not answering her phone or showing up for family occasion. Its sad but we can't do anything & have tried to help. It's tragic all-around & now 1 of her sons is in jail.

Dawn was a drug-addict/alcoholic long before Tiffany died. That, all too well, explains why her 13 year old daughter was partying and sleeping with these older men the night she died. I don't mean to be disrespectful but Dawn has never been a good parent and she SHOULD be blaming herself for what happened to Tiffany. Derek, Jacob and Brittany grew up (after Tiffany's death) in a drug/crime-infested neighborhood, Dawn always had several different men running in and out of the house, she used and abused drugs and alcohol as well as got drunk and high with both boys and allowed them all to run the streets, use drugs and drink from the time they were so young. Of course Jake is in jail- his mother was a sad excuse for any kind of supervision growing up. Maybe if these kids were taken from her when Tiffany was little then she'd still be alive today.

I agree
You people are heartless and cruel I am very close with the family and I love them all dawn has been like a grandmother to my child and I love her dearly her children are doing just fine and none of them are in jail now they all love their mother dearly did u ever consider the fact that them acting out was because of this horrible tragedy not because of bad parenting u should be ashamed to speak like that about someone who has been through something u will never understand

I saw Billy just before he was caught by police, he wasn't the same person! I went to school with him, lived down the street. He was funny, and a troublemaker, which at the time attracted ME. I honestly NEVER saw something like this coming! When I saw him, his hair dyed jet black, cold, distant. I at first yelled an explicit word at him for ignoring me, I realized quickly things weren't normal. My mom told me about his confession on my next visit with her (She still lived down the street). It all made sense then. Even stranger, when I find out he was being released, my mom was cautious about me going out alone, but I still disobeyed. I happened to be walking past auto zone and he was passing me, walking down the sidewalk. Have only heard one thing about him, from some sort of group meetings he attended. This person was adamant he was not guilty. I don't know. But if he isn't, he shouldn't be amongst the rest of us!

Dawn was a drunken, drug-addicted whore when I knew her. I used to party at her house all the time. Slept there many nights. And when I was there, I partied with Tiffany sometimes too, if you know what I mean. Dawn knew about it and she couldn't care less. I brought booze over, so she didn't care what I did or to whom. Tiffany was a pretty cool girl. But just like most girls that age, she had no respect for Dawn's authority. She was ready to go out into the world and have some grown-up fun. And that's just what she did. She partied with Jake, who was 20 at that time, but she also partied with some of Dawn's acquaintances too. Some of them were even in their 40's. One guy named Virgil told me that he was the one who took Tiffany's virginity, but I knew FOR A FACT that it was not true. Don't ask me how I know. Even though the statute of limitations has passed, I don't want to incriminate myself or anyone else.

If you read through the prior comments, you'll see how Dawn mostly knew illiterate hillbillies. THAT was the biggest problem for Tiffany. All the losers who passed through their house, taking little pieces away as they left, if you catch my drift.

Dawn was a terrible mother, a drunk, and a drug addict. Poor Tiffany never stood a chance.

Everyone with these rude comments don't know a damn thing about our lives. This is Brittany and my mother was a wonderful woman and still is. What she has had to live with is something nobody should go through but I know I was raised right.. Nobody is perfect but who are all you people to judge.

And you are a pathetic excuse for a human being. Nobody is perfect but my mother is the strongest woman in the world. She is now a healthy happy living mother and grandmother who still mourns everyday for the death of her daughter. Don't ever talk like you know our lives and what we live through everyday. I hope you live a wonderful life and mind your own business.
