Tusing family seeks answers 7 years after daughter's death

I do not understand this about a suspect, the murder happened in Arkansas not Kentucky. How can this be talking about the same thing? There was no eye witness to the one in Ark. or so I thought, Please explain!!

this guy was in the area during the time of the murder, he had brought his girlfriend to JB to visit her son who was locked up in a juvenile facility.

Does anyone know if the Tusing family is aware of this man? If not maybe with them getting involved with this Bonnie Wells lady they maybe able to find more answers

I just hope they find out who killed this poor girl. She died so young and her parents need ans. that they have looked for yrs. I hope and pray that they can find the killer that is still out there somewhere. Why can't the FBI fine this person? Doesn't any one out there care enough to keep working on this case. It seems like it was never really ck'd out. Where is Nancy Grace when we need her??????

I recall reading in the newspaper that a TV show, UNSOLVED MYSTERIES?, wanted to do a show about Mandy's case, but Mandy's boyfriend wouldn't cooperate, so the show was never done.

Mandy's murder has took such a huge impact on my life and the way i live it, she was such a sweet girl. I've always asked myself, "Why her, out of all the young girls of that class, from that town, why would GOD allow sweet Mandy 2b took 4m this world in such a violent senseless way?" It lead me 2 leave that town, that state, that whole way of life. My kids are 7,8, n 9 years old now. They seem 2 excel at everything they do. I have so much pride in them...as I am sure Mandy's parents did as well.I CAN'T IMAGINE THE PAIN THEY FEEL. In Jr. High, I thought I was gonna fail Civics, Mr. Wright,(bless his heart, I UNDERSTAND NOW, he was just a man doing his job) He was a hard ass at the time, and Mandy didn't have to loan me her notes, I don't even know how she knew that I needed them, but she did , and I passed!! Thank Ya'll both! I am now 29 years old and believe me, my kids know AMANDA TUSING's name. 4 them... I hope it means that no matter how well you (think you)know people, you can never know them well enough. Maybe,(hopefully) knowing Mandy's name and her story (as I know it) has instilled in them a sense of questioning of some1's authority. I pray every night 4 the Tusing family, and I want them to know that thier daughter/sister lives on through the kind acts she commited in her short lifetime.

the name of the channel is tru tv, the show is called haunting evidence, the one about her is called forgotten fiancee.....its been a while since i have seen it on there but they run that show often so its possible for the one about her to run again...i dont know if it can be seen via internet, check the tru tv web site

i still say that a fresh set of eyes (other det. or the fbi) need to look over the case file, it could be that they find something missed before..someone (or several someones) out there know something about this case, its long over due that the person or persons come forward with the information to help get this sloved, the family deserves not only the answers but closure

That was such a touching story and one that the Tusing family should read. I hope they know how you praised her.

I owned a pizza place in Lake City at the time of the murder. I also lived about 200 yards from the twin bridges in Lester. The story that went around town for a while was about an ex-cop from Black Oak named Jonny Williams. I guess he was a cop in Lepanto years ago and had been suspected of a homicide, but his wife Gaye gave him an alibi so he was never charged. He then left the Lepanto force and became A Craighead county officer, where he worked for several years. The general idea was that he "resigned" because of the fact that everyone in town knew he was guilty. The area where this occured is very tight-knit. After Mandy disappeared there were posters/fliers everywhere, four wheelers and ATV's everywhere, state/local, and FBI agents everywhere. Several of my friends that were involved in criminal activity of another nature were interviewed in relation to this case. I lived right on Hwy 135 when this occured, like I said, I could walk out in my front yard and see the curve that led to the twin bridges. There's a house right there made out of an old school bus. The house I lived in had a road that ran down the left side of the yard, this road led to the levy, but there was also a house down there where this weird ass dude lived. He would come by when I wasn't home and say weird shit to my wife while she was working in the yard and stuff. Several years later my cousin ended up marrying this guys son, he was a minister at the local church, they had kids together etc. Just about 6 months back or so the FBI raided his house and find child pornography on his computer, arrested and jailed him. I'm not saying that these things are related at all, but this guy was a weirdo and then his son is apparently a weirdo too. He lived 500 yards away from where the body was found, drove a little white toyota truck, and was just really weird. I believe his name was Joe.
