Do you think DSS returns children to unsafe homes?

I feel my niece and nephews have been returned to an unsafe home. I love my sister but she is a druggie and her house is always trashed. She has had a bunch of domestic disturbance calls with different guys. DSS has been there a number of times. She has a "Parent Aide". As far as I can see her parent aide does nothing to protect the children. They should be drug testing her and they do not. Does anyone else know of cases where the children are being put back in unsafe conditions? Please do not give the names of the victims. But if you could share the details without the names it may help. I may want to start a class action lawsuit on behalf of my neice and nephews.

If you are talking about Delaware County, NY, DSS is a failure. I have seen children left in homes where the caseworkers KNOW there are drugs and I have seen innocent people harassed and bullied into signing their child/children over. If you know someone who knows someone, I think some people are able to pull strings (or the wool over some eyes) if you know what I mean. And if you have a pregnant teen..... watch out!!! They LOVE those, separate them from their family (even if supportive) then bash them down til they don't believe they can learn to be a parent (isn't that what the county should be TEACHING them?) or learn to be ANYTHING... then SNATCH that newborn away!!! Maybe they get nice "thank you" gifts from the adoptive parents. I hear its hard to find infants.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FIGHT
(after many, many years of interacting off and on, I never saw any improvements with DSS, their leadership or their caseworkers).

I have seen it first hand. I know of a case-worker who was partying with one of her "clients". This woman was an alcholic, drug addict and the town whore. She was turned in for leaving her 5 year old son outside at 2 am while she was doing drugs with some young guy. They could have forced her to go to drug court or AA and get some help. Since she had an open case they could have made her get drug tested every week. Instead she is in the town bar drinking with her caseworker. Hope this helps you with your fight. GOOD LUCK is right. I bet someone is being bought off. I cound never understand how this woman kept her kid//

The court usually try to keep the children in the home. Hopefully it is not as bad as your overstated gossip states. Your a drama troll. If it was dangerous the court and child protective services would not put the kids back in the home.
