The story about Mrs. Chambers warms my heart. I was lucky enough to have been a schoolmate of Madeline, Jim, John and Shirley. They were all wonderful people to know. I vaguely recall Mrs. Chambers occasionally coming to my house on Main Street to play cards in my mother's Auction Bridge Club.
