What about the Gary Giley guy, he is like the Cheif now at the Sheriff's Office. He's not that old and no one is talking bad on him.

Lennie Graham- Just read his announcment again, as many times as he mentioned his dad I thought pops was coming out of retirement. You gotta love Richland Parish politics, I remember awile back when the then sheriff created a position for the then Cheif of Mangham at the Sheriff's office paving the way for Lennie to become the chief at Mangham. Now he wants dady to make him Sheriff, lets see how that plays out. Good bloodline will not make you a good Sheriff.

Lee Harrell- OK this is where it gets tricky, Lee is a really good, friendly and family oriented SMURF. We all know that once a town cop, deputy or joe blow off the street becomes a smurf they lose touch with reality. Smurfs get paid top dollar to be great ticket writers and wreck workers, but thats about all. ask yourself this, the last time you or anyone in your family called 911 for an emergency or just to file a complaint, who showed up? I bet it wasnt a smurf. Lee will have problems with the people of richland parish on name recognition only. You see Lee when you write 10,000 DWI's in your career, your a bound to make a few enemies. I know you were doing your job, but most people will not forget. No good deed goes unpunished.

Gary Gilley-(Slingshot engaged) The Goldenboy sped through the pay grades at RPSO faster than Ricky Bobby sped through the field at Talledega. Everyone saw the writing on the wall when he was moved up to investigator. The “248 Mafia” has been grooming him for several years to be the heir apparent, WHY? That tells me that they found their puppet, someone they can control. Which is funny to me since there seems to be no control over the deputies at RPSO at all. Zindy you say the goldeboy is like the chief now, well if that’s the case then why cant he control his deputies. That good ole boy mentality was ok for the parish back In the day but needs to go now, it’s a different time. Look now, peoples homes are being broken into and their belongings are being stolen out in the parish, but if you drive uptown at night the citgo looks like fort knox. These deputies do what they want when they want with no fear of consequences. They take units outside the parish while on duty to visit friends, girl friends and sometimes to eat catfish and politic. Question for you , How many men of color do you see working at night on the road? Oh sure there have been a few over the years but are they still there, nope don’t think so , WHY? Because if you don’t think there is rampant racism that runs through that dept. then you are sadly mistaken. And another thing if you are caught cheating on your wife while on duty that should be grounds for termination, but it isn’t, WHY NOT? Also if you are caught committing malfeasance you should be fired immediately, not just given a new position at the DC. If goldenboy wins it will be business as usual, lets just hope he doesn’t BANKRUPT our parish.

Terry Thompson- Well this is a man that is good enough to be your #2 but not good enough to be supported by his own dept. Terry my advice to you is MOVE to Mangham, pay your dues to the 248 mafia and you might have a chance. Also everything I said to goldenboy goes double for you. You are the chief deputy, take the reins and do something with these deputies. You are being judged not by your actions, but by your lack there of.

Willie Robinson- to many skeletons!!!!

As for the rest of you guys, save your money you have no chance all ya’ll are going to do is split votes. Go fishing or something.

I don't find much to disagree with BUT....
I would not count Claude Mercer out. His biggest negative is age and whether he can raise the money to heavily engage.
Poor Terry. You are so right. How can he continue the next year as chief while serving as a high paid escort for Gilley. All the while knowing that he should have been anointed.

Lee Harrell, Everything you said about him is positive in my sight. And I will answer your question "When you last called 911, who showed up"
I remember many years ago when I had a family crisis with a child. No laws broken mind you but just needed help only a law official could provide. I called everyone and the only real effort to help came from a "smurf". Not just any old "smurf" but from one named Lee Harrell. I hardly even knew him at the time, and I doubt he remembers much about the incident or how important it was to me. He was just simlply doing what he could to help.

Wow!! I wish everyone in Richland Parish would read this before they get set to vote. Some good information here, and some not so good. Don't like all the negative stuff, but even that is not all that bad because it causes you to look deeper at certain individuals. Wish there was more participation on this forum.

Holy smokes..Aztec hit the nail on the head. Mangham voter, the negatives are what drives elections, the candidate that best weathers the storm will be the Sheriff. And as far I can tell, there are some dark clouds on the horizon.
The sheer arrogance of the R.P.S.O deputies are of the charts, and G.G. seems to be the most un-genuine, uninformed candidate out there. Words of advice G.G., next time you shake my hand, shake it like a man. That limp wristed hand shake you are doing now is just sad.
Come on bruh tell us about the skeletons in W.R. closet. I no what I have heard but its like street rumors so I dont know how true they are. Keep doing what you people are doing cause more people are starting to take notice.

Anonymous, what you talking about? I haven't seen much jealously directed at Lee so you must be thinking about a front runner in a different race.

From this side of the creek over here we've been holding our own for a while. Evryone got tired of begging so everyone make rounds out this way patroling our backroads for the chance of catching someone or more stealing or as they will say(we where told to clean up here by Mrs. Mackintire) Its a bunch of bull. All the deputies come through here make a quike loop and they are gone. For as voting for sherrif out here=-= I guess it would be between Mr.Lee Harrel and Claude Mercer. It is just because of the fact they are real men. they also no who they want around them to be able push on through all the bullcrap to get it straightned out. I just wish we could get another DA so all the deals he has made would be null and void. The DA has to many cemiteries in his closets. give me some feed back on your thoughts. lets see where it goes!!!!!!!!!!1

Looks like the race is taking off at top speed. I heard the Lee Harrell sent Christmas cards to most everyone in the parish. He is well liked here in Start.

Yes, I have noticed the increase in activity over the last few days. I drove under Giley's billboard three times and didn't see it until someone told me to look for it. I got Mr. Harrell's Christmas card in the mail, very impressive and his full page add is by far the most professional of anything I have seen from the candidates. It is way to early to decide but I am sure leaning toward Harrell. He seems so much more mature and confident than the others.

Lee Harrell! Lee will be what our area needs to bring law and order to our communities from the top down...I will speculate that the closer we get to the election, his opposition will spare no expense to keep Lee out of Office, but he will have my support. They will oppose him because they know that Lee does not cut deals! Currently, have we all noticed how some people seems to deal drugs and never go to jail? I would be willing to bet that the drug business in Richland parish alone is measured in the 10's of millions of dollars, and law enforcement can't get a handle on it? C'mon man! Lee Harrell is the only choice (period).

I work for the sheriffs dept so I cant say much except its not right for us to be told we better support G.G. or we will lose our jobs. I was hired by Sheriff Graham and I can tell you things having to a change for the worse since he retired. Even the public only knew the good ole boys tactics that go on they would be shocked. I hope our next sheriff will go back treating his employees like humans not just an object. I can promise you if the chosen one gets elected Richland Parish is in for a rude awakening. He does not have the experience or the ability to sell insurance much less be the sheriff. I know each person that is or say they are going to run for sheriff and I know who we dont need. Our sheriff says Gilley was not a political move but goes to show McDonald didnt tell truth again. Thats another story about our sheriff the deacon. Get real, Richland Parish get ready to rumble.....
