Liberty Township/Powell hates their firefighters!

Here is the place where the over educated, under experienced citizens of Liberty Township/Powell can voice their true opinions about their firefighters! After all, it's the 20th top earning town in the USA ...
but look what we do!! We fail a fire levy over $15 a month! Because $15 a month is a MONEY GRAB!(However, ever see the line at Starbucks in the morning? Won't give up that daily latte will we???)
Lay off firefighters and expect other communities to come in and take care of us for free!!
"Oh, don't worry" says our newest trustee Melanie Lengehan, and her buddy Peggy Guzzo. "We needed to cut the fat. Nothing bad will happen! No loss of services to the community!"
Just remember, it's the union's fault.
And now I have taken the painstaking efforts to compile all the negative comments about the firefighters here, so you can see the kind of people that live in this community!

Jensen can afford Liberty Township. If he is going to continue to cry in the media, plant stories, parade FF in front of the Trustees he should have some property tax skin in the game. He could also save the Township money as he currently drives a Township vehicle around 100 miles a day for personal use just so he can get home and back to work.
FF are never happy. If the JEDZ had been placed on the ballot and passed they would have been amongst the first cry babies in front of the Trustees for mo money.
Being a Liberty FF is not conscription , the job is voluntary and risks come with the job. Just in Liberty Township the risks are deminimus compared to Metropolitan departments and yet liberty FF think they are some how equivalent and deserving of the same glory. and hero status. Before you are a hero you have to earn it!!

Liberty was bloated. With two stations Liberty was doing more and more mutual aide runs because the actual run rate volume in Liberty was low. Jensen had to do something to try and justify his overstaffed department. So they started to find busy projects like restoring an old fire engine, staffing for senior citizen telephone calls, doing open houses, etc.
Now they might actually have to work. Isn't that what we pay them to do in the first place??? T
hey just won't quit crying to the media- whoa is Liberty. Shame on those union sympathizers who won't accept what the residents want- a lean no frills department.

We watch Chicago Fire and Liberty Township is a Mayberry gig . Our local FF talent works in a community with minimal if any health or injury risk in comparison with a City of Chicago or even Columbus FF.
So quit trying to extapolate Chicago Fire TV fiction with the reality of Liberty Township

Let me spell it out for you. The FFs called the media trying to make it appear that a person died as the result of not enough staff to respond to the call.
Then you wrote on this forum that man's death is Leneghan's fault. His blood is on her hands, or some nonsense like that.
But now you look ridiculous because you yourself wrote the truth about what happened. He had already passed away. He was not transported to a hospital. He was pronounced at the scene after FFs took the necessary measures to do so.
How shameful for you to try to use a man's death as a way to appeal to the public for more funding of the LTFD. Shameful!
