There are other non-lethal ways to remedy the situation. I'm sure none of them were considered. It seems it's always the easiest choice for humans to kill vs. try alternatives. Sickening.

Meat will go to pantries? Who the hell wants to eat goose? I mean, do they even sell goose meat at the grocery store? Not around here lady. What makes Dorothy think that homeless people want to eat geese? Because they're homeless? Send the meat to the prisons, or just give it to Dorothy to eat. She can eat it if she's so worried about wasting good geese. Better recycle those goose droppings too, we don't want it to go to waste. We can put it in her lawn as fertilizer. What a great idea. People like Dorothy are the reason the rest of the country makes fun of Wisconsin. How does someone who obviously rode the short bus to school become chairman of the town board? Do you just have to have a dislike for the homeless and a genuine desire to save goose meat?

It doesn't seem that any other options have been explored or attempted. Delavan isn't the first or only area that has had this issue to deal with. Other areas have used more humane ways of combatting the issue. What people seem to forget is that these creatures were here before we were. We take away the homes of so many species of wildlife and then have the nerve to complain that the animals are a nuisance? Too many deer~kill them. Too much goose waste~kill them. Etc... Here's an idea...if you don't like all that comes with living in a lake area or rural town...move to the city. There are way too many humans crowding up the planet, we don't kill them just because it's annoying!

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
