It sure seems like the Elkhorn Highschool likes to make up there own rules other than the ones stated in their school and athletic manuals. Instead of focusing on the real problems in the school they bully others to get their way.

What??? You need to give details. You can't just throw out some vague rant.

I have to agree with Randy. I don't have a clue what you're talking about. I do know that sometimes people on the outside don't know the full story.

Elkhorn HS is a ok school but it's way better than Delavan Darien High School

DDHS is a horrible school and its made for students that wish to be failures at life. Hey lets find some street rats to be our teachers and fill the school with worthless kids that have parents that need to be rounded up and shot in the head.

Is it true 180 kids have used school choice to get out of Delavan?

I would just like to say that stero-typing people shows a sign of lacking maturity. I had 2 children in Elkhorn and one in Delavan. I do not like to hear that someone thinks all parents are bad! If their is a problem with these schools then instead of posting here, one would think they would get in contact with someone who can do something about the situation. The problem I see is that these children are given to many rights at a young age. What happened to the times when children had respect for their parents and follow there rules. Commenting on the teachers, well both schools have great teachers and then there are some that are not. Some that are there just for the paycheck. This includes the principles who play favoritism and some of the office personal that spend a good portion of their day eating during working hours. So last but not least are the students that think they can do whatever they want and don't have to follow school guidelines. There are way to many loop-holes for them. Society has gotten to lax and should go back to the strict way of doing things. Sorry for all that don't agree with me but this is my comment

Elkhorn high school is a gossip filled hierarchy based on knowing the right people and having family friends in the school. Teachers definitely favored the well known students who had older family members that went to the school, or the athletes. Everyone thinks they know everything about you- it's a lot of small town complex. The school was great, could have done away with a few teachers(not going to mention any names). But as a graduate in the top ten of my class from Elkhorn, I was disappointed with their choices of scholarship recipients(mostly went to the popular athletes). The teachers are well educated and do a great job pushing students to learn. However, the cliques and favoritism of some of the teachers was diminutive to learning. The environment was depressing to say the least.

The HS football program scarred my son for life. The coaches made poor decisions and I fantacize about taking vengeance on them.

Dean Wilson had an affair with the high school softball coach. He chases after kids and makes unfair assumptions even as he has his head up his ass. He needs to retire ASAP. He's definitely past his prime.

you are right lets run him out if town so he can be with his "lady", and when he is gone john "fatboy" handle better NOT become the new athletic director. Him and his stuck up son can go be with the sausage king and eat as much as they want.

Teachers and students are overjoyed that "Doctor" Bostwick (aka Junior Woodchuck) is leaving the school. She is a toxic administrator who is more worried about smoking in the parking lot than the academic integrity of the school.

Don't be silly--- Dean Wilson isn't certified to be a principal. He's too busy chasing down kids who violate the athletic code---when he's not screwing some young newbie teacher. Let's hope Elkhorn gets some decent administrators--- maybe then the school can survive.
