I attended Camp Bisco for the first time, and I was appalled at how many ambulances were taking people to and from the hospital. I understood that there were drugs involved at this festival, however when you hear 12 ambulances within an hours time, and see someone being brought out on a stretcher, not moving, and the ambulance doesn't put on the siren & you know they are dead...it completely ruined my time. I am a 27 year old woman, who went to enjoy a camping trip and music with my friends, but instead had a black cloud looming over me knowing how many of these young kids, and adults were being hospitalized and overdosing on so many drugs. My prayers and condolences go out to this young man's family...

The guy who died was a 29 year old volunteer and he was found dead in his tent Wednesday morning, before the festival even opened. Bodies weren't being carted off during the festival

This is very true. There has only been one reported death at camp this year. Ambulances will get involved for anything that could potentially become a dangerous situation. Something as simple as heat exhaustion could cause someone to pass out and have an ambulance sent immediately.

No, people were not dropping dead 12 times in an hour.
Yes, some people may have gotten a little hot and dehydrated from raging too hard.

Greatest experience ever.

Everyone knows that Camp Bisco is know for being the most drug infested festival in the northeast. Good music can be enjoyed without pushing your buzz to the edge. Even if this was someone there helping set up, I'm surprised there aren't more overdose deaths. My condolences to the persons family and loved ones.

I'm not entirely sure if its true but I heard that there was rat poison in spray bottles that people were "dosing" random people with, causing comas and stuff... Any reports about that being true? I did notice way more ambulances hauling people away this year, as opposed to last year. But I figured anything I read on Facebook is considered a rumor til I see an article to go with it haha. Also heard bath salts were being handed out and passed off as other drugs.

Ellis hosp in schdy was inundated with people from the fest. My friends daughter is in a coma, had a heart attack and stroke from something either voluntarily or involuntarily ingested there that may very well take her life. This is nothing more than an illegal drug fest at bet!

My son attended and told me heard of several deaths. Why are we not hearing the news about this? Can anyone tell me what the deal with bath salts is? Are they being represented as drugs or taken as a drug? Bad information will shut these festivals down, the promoters have an obligation to get the word out. Peace and Love...

I atteneded. Only was one death and it was a vendor, this happened two nights before the fest. even opened... People that go for the drugs, deserve reprocussions. This has been be 8th year at camp bisco. Be smart and bad shit doesn't happen. Maybe parents should pay attention to what their children are attending. Good work pops!

Don't fuck with with disco biscuits...

"My son attended and told me heard of several deaths."

kevin, there has been one confirmed death...this is not a cover up conspiracy, rumors run rampant and security likes to scare people straight with rat poison dosing stories and saying every one is dying out there...it's not like that at all, though there are a lot of stupid young kids eating bath salts and other research chemicals that can have very serious effects when taken in large doses

i did see a lot of kids getting wheeled out in a parade of golf carts, some of them looked to be in real rough shape, but we have to trust that any other deaths would be reported in the media

"Are they being represented as drugs or taken as a drug?"

i would say it depends, probably both...some people are too dumb to care what they are taking, others are tricked into thinking it's something else and don't care as long as they get messed up

Um no, its a big enough crime, murder and attempted murder of double digit amount of ppl. It would compramise an investigation that is persuing. So no, its not going to be in the news for a little while. Pray for my friend who is currently in a coma because the poison was in water guns and slipped into peoples drinks!

I'm having a very hard time with all these crazy rumors.

Mariaville is a small town, therefore any incidence of death pertaining to Camp would surely be reported. There has only been one report. If you feel as though there is some huge conspiracy or coverup, you can access police records for that evening if you so wish.

If there were roughly 25,000 people at this event, there will surely be rumors flying about, such as people getting dosed with rat poison and so on. If you put 25k together, of course there are going to be some dirty characters, but isn't that true with any 25k segment of the population? You can't blame a band or a music festival for the actions and decisions made by attendees. Put it this way. If someone wants to dive face first into a K hole or get spun out on Acid, then they are going to do so regardless of time or location. Sure, Bisco might be someone's excuse to use, but so be it. I'm sure it isn't their first time.

As for the bath salts, they were around Camp this year. It all depends on the intelligence level of the user. Personally, our group had testing kits with us, which is an incredibly smart way to go. You want to purchase something, then you simply ask the dealer if you can test their product. If they say no, you walk away. If they say yes, and it tests properly then you all are at ease knowing you will be raging safely.

What is comes down to is a matter of opinion. The Disco Biscuits, or Camp Bisco are not responsible for the overdoses and deaths that occur at their venues. If someone is accepting a random dose of something from a random festival goer's spray bottle, well then, whose fault is that? Marc Brownstein's? I think not.

People just need to learn to keep their heads. I don't take random drugs from strangers and I don't take RCs thinking I'm going to have a great time. I know my shit before hand, I take it easy and I enjoy some great music with some great friends. Sure, I'm tired as hell when it's time to go home, but a group of 20 of us made it out alive and we all had a great freaking time.

I'll love Bisco forever.

Me and my friends did the same, and had the same experience. We were also about 20 people and everyone was doing fine by the end of the weekend, and had a great time.
I did see alot of people getting rushed out on atvs. But I trust the news.-
It was a great time, but could def be dangerous if not taken seriously. Regards to those who were not as fortunate, and hope for the best.

Let me start by just sending positive vibes towards anyone who came out of the weekend not well. I had an amazing time at bisco and only experienced one incident of bad vibes which is pretty amazing out of that many people! As far as overdoses- the death that occurred the night before the festival began was related to pain pills and xanex - neither of those drugs are prevalent in the festi world and the individual who overdosed on those types of drugs- it would've
happen no matter where they happened to be. Buying ANYTHING from a stranger is risky much less drugs. You HAvE to be smart if that's the route you choose to take, i follow 3 core guidelines to buying at shows an I never take it to an extreme - and I've always come out of a festival with nothing but good memories. Ive been attending festivals for 9 years or so ans What I have been noticing in recent years is a VERY young crowd. Under 18 should not be going to these festivals without parents! It's that simple. My parent went to a few festivals and plenty of shows they had no intrest in- but they did it to keep me safe. It's crazy to me how young some of these kids are just going fucking nuts! THAT is how people get hurt. I have a hard time believing all these crazy rumors about bisco. I've always had good vibrations and a great time. My advice is don't go into something you can't handle, bc your gonna ruin it for the rest of us!

Something was being given out at the show. My nephew's finance is at Ellis Hospital in a coma right now and has been there since Thursday, along with three other people. There were massive amounts of overdoses at Ellis too. I understand that St. Mary's hospital to the North has also been inundated with overdoses. People are passing around bad drugs. I have no idea about the rat poison, but my girl did have poison in her blood that was not related to X or MDMA or LSD. So it came from somewhere. There is a special place in hell for people who do this stuff to others. Karma is coming for them and they better hope she gets them before I do. Stay safe.

I SAW A KID SEIZE OUT DURING SKRILLEX, NOT SURE IF IT WAS EPILEPSY OR DRUGS. ANOTHER KID WAS BUGGIN' SCREAMING "RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW DISCO BISCUTS RIGHT NOW". SOME PEOPLE I MET WERE TESTING THE SUPPOSED MOLLI, 4 OF 5 WERE BATH SALTS. 3 DEATHS THIS YEAR 2 CAR ACCIDENTS, 1 OD, THE VOLUNTEER. I HAD A BLAST. IF YOU ARE GOING TO RAGE...BE SMART ABOUT IT, NO SYMPATHY FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO SAFETY. THEY WERE SELLING BUNK POLICE TESTING KITS SO IF YOU DID SO DECIDE TO DO DRUGS, THEN YOU SHOULD BE SMART ENOUGH TO TEST AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE GETTING WHAT YOU INTENDED ON BUYING. THE LIGHT SHOWS DIDN'T EVEN NEED DRUG AUGMENTATION WITH DRUGS ANYWAY. GOOD TIMES HAPPY BISCO

There wasn't many illegal drugs besides weed there being sold. It was f ing hot heat exhaustion ain't no joke. Mostly bath salts being sold as MDMA. The legal drugs are more dangerous than the illegal ones anyway. I took five hits of LSD that I brought with me. I was in the front the whole time. I'm alive. Only negative affect I had was I couldn't find my car for five hours after the disco biscuits on Thursday. And the numbers and letters on my phone were shifting randomly 90 180 and 360 degrees. I had an excellent time and recommend it to anybody.

Festival advice........don't take candy from strangers. If you do have someone selling bath Salts try it first then eat their face before they eat yours. Eat stay hydrated, bring your own spray bottle with water so you don't get rat poisioned. Take breaks. REMEMBER WHERE YOU PARKED!
