Ron's Cozy Corner is wonderful since they moved into their new location and made it non-smoking. They have the best fish fry in this area.

I totally support any business owner who wants to make his/her property non-smoking. Owners should also be able to ALLOW smoking if that's what they think is best for their business.

I will not patronize any establisment that has banned smoking period!!!

What right does the government have to impose upon the rights of smokers....Most smokers are very curtious and as long as there is a designated area for smoking....what's the problem...

By the way...Ron's cozy corners fish is probably one of the worst I have ever tasted....I stopped going there even before they moved...their food is awful!!!

I will. I am actively fighting the ban in Wisconsin. But I go to restaurants that are non-smoking all the time. I do not go to bars that are non-smoking. That said, I will not spend a dime in cities or towns that have imposed a ban, I do not have a problem with businesses that have chosen to go non-smoking however.

Somethings seems amiss here. If his business is so successful, why would he want to FORCE other businesses to go smoke free, giving him more competition? If my business was that successful, I certainly wouldn't be bragging about it to all my competitors.

Why aren't all these non smoking people rushing out to buy or open businesses that are non smoking to reap the big profits instead of sitting at home online bragging how wonderful it would be for OTHER people to be forced to go smoke free?

So the name states...the business has been around for many many yrs......they are slowly loosing their customers because of the smoking ban....

Time will tell.....

They are COZY and are always a small establishment.....(Notice the name)but since the ban......local patrions are going elsewhere!!!!

Believe me....I own a business nearby and have noticed the decline in the parking lot on Friday and Saturday nights!!!

Since the Ban....Too Cozy for my comfort...Period!!!...

Will never go there again...and since I own a business in their neighborhood, I put out any negitive comment I can...if asked...

Their food is awful...since the move..regardless of the ban....

Ron...bring back the smoking section...and the difference will tell the story!!!

Ron's Cozy Corner is like many of the Resturants (and Bars) in our community.

They serve food, yet have a long standing clientele of customers...attending their bar...

Most of the long standing clientele give the business their reputation and revenue.(Since they are "Bar Flies") They drink and smoke...

Since most drinkers are smokers...(with exceptions) this bar/resturant will then loose their established clientele...eventually......

If it's only a resturant...put a ban...

If it's the workplace...put a ban

But if it's a bar...and you are out for the night and enjoying the evening...Smoking and drinking go together....

In bars, taverns, pubs....or resturants who have an extablished bar, tavern, pub....elimiate the ban!!

Some non-smokers are only smokers when they drink!!!~

Whats the next step...Eliminate drinking establishments!!!!

Seems like that's the way it's headed.....

My friend just told me a story about when he recently visited Denver...

He noticed the smoking ban...He stated that...even though it's on the statutes...it's not enforced...He visited several bars... on his recent trip...He noticed an established smoking section in some bars where other business did not establish a smoking section....

He referenced the statutes...and I quote..."kind of like the the statute that Homesexuality is against the law and if any one were to press the issue...they would then have to abide by the law...

In time...the smoking ban will be just the same...

On the books but not inforce.....

Kind of like..."don't ask...don't tell"...

Our Justice system is Grand...Ain't it!!!!...

Only bars will be able to get away with the smoking ban because it then tends to be "socially acceptable"

Same as the Gaming/Gambeling rules....Hey bar owners...

Get the picture?

I have smoked since I was 12. I don't have stained fingers. People compliment me all the time on my fragrance. I have no tumors, nor do I recommend this to any of you.

The Media is complicated and most non-smoking ads make me wonder... are they trying to deterr cigarrette smoking or sell more?

In my honest opinion, with a marketing background, I cannot tell the difference.

It's more likely a lie that pepetuates a lie.

Nonetheless, it stinks to most of us.

They are giving our jobs away like candy at halloween and making it difficult for any legitimate business to make ends meet.

Seems to me "The Good 'Ol Boys Club" is going down with the rest of us.

When I visited rural Colorado, the ban was enforced where real crime is not an issue due to the "make my day" gun laws. The cops have little to do but harass bar patrons and do speed traps. It's easier now that the small "mom and pop" places are closed. The big "company" places are doing better now that their competition is gone. The cities that have real crime as an issue don't seem to be bothered by ban fanatics.
