Has anyone else heard that A Pet's Wish is NOT a registered 501C-3 with the IRS, like they've been telling everyone? I think event their "receipts" say 501C3 but it is some other org's number. Unbelievable. It is on their Facebook page. I think they got some explaining to do to a lot of people and maybe the IRS. STORM THE....IRS?

The is friends of del Rio animals. Cheap fixing of animals. If more babosos would fix their pets there wouldn't be so many strays... just sayin

This is very true! FDRA has been sponsoring Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics twice a year since 2004! They also started the first Trap/Neuter/Release Program that is still up and running as well as educational programs offered to the community. These programs are funded by grants that can only be obtained by being a 501(c)3 organization!

Yes, that they do - that was $30 I will NEVER spend again! I had my female spayed thru their organization and ended up having to take her to the vet for emergency care after they screwed up! Just because they offer this clinic doesn't put them in the same category as A Pets Wish - you don't see FDRA rescuing, fostering, & adopting the numbers of animals that A Pets Wish does.

If you love your animals - DO NOT USE THIS SPAY/NUETER clinic!!!!!!!

Grow up. Most people that participate with APW are broke a$$ losers. How can you storm city hall with 30 people and then kiss butt. You want to press charges and then go beg for help. Typical ghetto hood rat border jokes.

I have had 4 of my pets spayed with this clinic. I have never had any trouble at all. Border Brat, that is what you are being a brat... grow up. You probably didn't take care of your dog after the procedure.

I have an idea....why don't A Pets Wish and Friends of Del Rio Animals both post their Federal Tax ID # right here and right now. After all, don't all non-profits fall under the "Open Books" law?!

Man,I saw pics of that gal giving the dog that died some kind of shot. Um, isn't it kind of like illegal to act like a Vet if you don't have a liscense? If that was my dog I'd be mad at her.

FYI the Vet who comes here for the FDRA Spay clinic is a hometown gal. She taught at DRHS and then went back to Vet school. Her name is Clara Scott and her mother still lives here. She has a huge parctice in Spring, Texas "My Family Vet" and this community is lucky that she takes the time from her practice to come up here twice a year to give back to the community. And yes, you may have only paid $30 for your dog to be spayed, but that was because FDRA paid the other portion of your dogs surgery! So next time....pay the full price at one of our local Vets! BTW....next time, read your post-surgical instructions!
