Wouldn't it be a creekwalk and not a riverwalk? There's not enough money to build all that stuff in this town. It would be cool though.

I would think that since in the summer people tube business's that would allow u to walk in wet get a drink or something to eat and then go back and eat memos really has a chance to be the model with an outdoor patio and a stage for live music and a more eat on the go menu

Would be great to gussy up one section of the creek and build some restaurants/bars/ But the potential for flooding would skyrocket insurance. maybe closer to the boys/girls club.

This won't happen. I've talked to Memo's about this and they are never going to change. They want it exactly the way i was when Blondie passed. Sad really. That place would be an awesome happy hour spot with a shaded deck down to the creek. So much potential.....so little vision.

I don't necessarily agree. What if you built the restaurant/bar up on stilts, much like a house on the bay or on the beach? You could then get your building out of the flood zone. Then you could build a deck underneath it that extends out to the creek. Flood insurance is only required for the building.....not the deck if it is unattached to the aforementioned building.

So then pick a location let's say where lots of houses are gone like by plaza brown city owns lots of land there now ok next step develop it to where water will extension of the creek and entertainment Places can be leased or sold and flood control gates will protect said development and it gives san Felipe a nice spot and since the city forgot about that part of town

It's all FEMA flood zone. Good luck with the red tape. And then there is the nerdy guy on creek commission trying to save some stupid salamander or minnow fish. Not going to happen with out lots of private money. Our current city admin. won't allow for any growth. There first response is always no! Instead of "great idea... How can we help". That's why eagle pass has more than us.

Very true. As far as the current city administrator, unless it brings $$$ to his pocket, he's always going to say no.
