Pup C wrote: Anyone know where Nana is ?? Any chance of getting her to come back ?? Perhaps she can explain what the harrassment of the pl did to her ?? She said she changed from PL to PC, if I am correct ??? Is this right foo ?? I am about ready to call it quits. Yes Pups, what is up? This is the book thread. I understand you were looking for me here. You do stand a better chance of finding me on this type of thread. I will answer you. Yes I changed my stance on "abortion" to a degree. When I first started posting, I stated I was PL. For all of my life, PL was the only way to be. Abortion was not the answer for me and I raised my daughter that way. As you know she had an unwanted/unplanned pregnancy and gave the child up for adoption to a family she chose in advance. It was painful, difficult, but HER choice. Family, friends gave her shit about how she would be better off to have an abortion. Guess what, it is NOT their place, their life and they won't live with the choice. It is really easy to give lip service and say how everybody should do everything their way, then fricken walk away and to hell with it. NOBODY has the right to tell me OR my daughter what to do regarding this very private matter. The only "opinion" that counts is the opinion of the woman that is pregnant. She is the one that has to look in the mirror every day, and nobody else. SHE is the one that will have to stand before her god and answer for how she lived her life. Nobody else will answer for her, nobody else will take the blame for things that were done, or should have been done. SHE is the one that has to decide what she will do NOW. Guess what, it is nobody else's damn business what SHE decides, what religious belief or non belief she holds. I have participated in the boards, and heard all of the sanctimonious, self righteous, holier than thou, wouldn't say shit if they had a mouth full of it, religious bull shit. They are nothing more than some judgmental hypocrites. News flash, it isn't their damn business, no matter what the pregnant woman decides to do. It is only their business if and when they are the one that is pregnant. Your little catholic buddies on the other thread can all line up and kiss my ass. The "dogma" is about as relevant to a non catholic as how many squares of toilet paper someone uses when they wipe their ass. The catholics do NOT control the world, they only want to. Abortion has been around since the beginning of time, hell it is even in the bible. So saying god is against it is a crock of shit. Remember the priest and the potion to cause miscarriages? Remember all the pregnant woman and INNOCENT babies dashed on the rocks? So, nothing has really changed about my position. The only thing that has changed is I won't even hesitate to tell someone to mind their own damn business when it comes to MY choice. They can back off and get the hell outa my face unless they their dogma and their opinion shoved where the sun does not shine. I have the right to have sex. The right to use birth control. The right to decide when to get pregnant. The right to gestate a pregnancy. The right to give up my child for adoption. The right to raise any child I give birth to. I also have the right to decide to terminate a pregnancy. I do not need some fucktard telling me what rights they want or don't want me to have because they don't "like" one or more of those choices for what ever trumped up reason. I hope this answered your question ~ and I hope everyone else will ignore the inappropriateness of the conversation in THIS thread.

I am wondering if the PL jumped all over your rear end for being nice to the PC, when you came on as PL ?? Sorry, I just don't remember that much when you came on as GrandmaDC .. Perhaps, I just shouldn't give a damn and chalk it up to a learning experience. I just didn't really realize how off balanced some of them really are.

Reading my short story volume; it's not as good as I hoped. Considering that all these stories won the O. Henry award for this year, I'm rather surprised they're not superior to S. King's last short story collection. Now that was good reading!!

I have devoured them, then my hubby rips them out of my fat little hands, then they are tossed across the fence to a neighbor, who hands them to her Mother, then to her MIL !! Everyone is says YES to Iles !! Now I have a box ready to mail to my Mom - as she loves a good read as well. I just struggled through "Scarpetta" It had been on my shelf and I really wanted to move it to the already read pile. James Patterson Against Medical Advice ( not his usual schtick ) but a true story about autism is fab ! Jodi Picoult - love her. Meltzer, Gerritsen Child, Baldacci Connelly Coben, Ludlum, Lescroit, Hosseni, Brown, The list for entertainment goes on and on. I love the fact that hubby and I share quite a few authors we both enjoy reading. I also have friends that send books to me, most notably our darling Foo. C.Ham has promised me some more Iles, but they must be coming by pony express !! lol

I refuse to be some rabid, foaming at the mouth ranting idiot, and demand that everyone do what I "think" they should do. I will not condemn any woman for making a choice that was right for her. Can I say for a fact that there would *never* be a time when abortion would be the *right* choice. No, I can't. Therefore, I stand on the side of mind your own damn business, keep your nose out of another woman's uterus, and I expect the same treatment in return. You and your foaming at the mouth friends, fail to see that giving birth is also a choice. When you let some religious fruit cakes make the laws, where does it stop? Look at the bigger picture. Outlaw one choice cause some damn fools don't like it, and the door is open to outlaw more. Just take a look at other countries, like China, and I am not talking about ancient history. They too feel "justified" in allowing only male babies to live, and then only one pregnancy per household along with forced abortions. That is "their" religious belief and don't try to tell them they are wrong. They believe it and think their way is the "only" way and doesn't that remind you of some fruit loops here in the US and Canada, trying to make their religious shit the law of the land? No thanks.

Certainly not - that ass wouldn't recognize a bite, as the nerve endings are too far away from the skin.(Chortle) I missed seeing you at the fair as well, but I was too stinkin' busy to talk to anyone anyway. Would love to swap info, and perhaps have coffee or tea somewhere in town with you. You can bring the Patterson, and I'll provide the Michener or Gresham novel of your choice. Feel free to suggest others, should neither of those appeal to you, or you have already read them. See you soon. :)

Nana is the second of three true PL on these forums. The others who claim to be PL are actually just anti-choice or anti-woman. I see her philosophy as something resembling "Pro-life means Pro-the-best- life-possible."
She rocks, plain, honest, simple, and Cool. Love 'ya girl.

Many thanks for your sympathies my friend. ;p Honestly, I think it's because I agreed to an over-priced, shoddy paint-job on a rather uncommon car that had them believe that I've got lots of money--nothing could be further from the truth, more's the pity. I certainly hope that the crew at "Dick's" do not think I've got the hots for any of them...! Talk about a shady-looking bunch, and, that the only woman there is almost indistinguishable from the men. Just my luck...uggh!
