i think what he did proved that he was a murderer. what ever the case was that got them into a fight was there problems and theirs only. they didnt need to bring weapons into the issue. i knew Max only from seeing him walk into my class last year a few times. he was a bright funny kid but things dont always stay that way. even if you look as harmless on the outside it doesint mean your the same on the inside. the rage that boiled up in him made him pull that triger and kill an innocent life. That was truly the evil that showe who he was...

To everyone who is writing and commenting on Jason's death, it was very senseless and we are all grieving over Jason's death, but if nothing else comes from Jason's death take this with you, For God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son That Whosoever Believed In Him Should Not Perish But Have Everlasting Life....John 3:16....everyone has wrote that Jason wasn't religious, but Jason was he was brought up to know Jesus as his personal savior....he just lost his way....for those of you who is still out there it's not to late for you to find and get to know Jesus and a better way!!!!!

hey kids be smart and make good choices. In the game of life the only survivors are those that stay close to christ. You have your whole lives to grow up so why are you rushing into things that you are not ready for? Be strong and look to the future with optimism for the Lord has all power and the Lord is on your side.

Also, hip hop music has killed many wonderful intelligent people who had a wonderful future ahead of them.

Rest in Peace Jayson Martin. You were a very good friend of mine and I will miss you. I will never forget you smile and how you always made me laugh.

P.S. Hip hop music doesn't kill people, guns, knifes, other weapons and other people kill people. To blame hip hop music for the death of people is ridiculous. People have been getting murdered years and centuries before hip hop music was even invented. If you want to blame music please tell me what kind of music were the Nazis or KKK listening to?

Damn LiL Jay, you got all these people fussing over everything....I know you would want it this way, youd want us all the drink one for you and smoke blunt anfter blunt to the dome....Even though I miss seeing youre big smile...I know it happened for a reason and I knowyou wouldnt want everything to be like this....you have no regrets... you were never scared of death, you had no fear...You'd want us all to be as strong as you are. I miss you, but i'll see you again until then Rest in Peace...Justice will be served.

i miss you more then words but i know your still here watchin over me, setting my example to choose the right choice, its jus hard to think that like christ, the lord has to sacrifice another one of his children to reach out and tell us all that there is always a more righteous way and you can always be saved, it jus takes the right mind to ask for forgivness, i love you jayson, my butterfly and i always will.

All yall should learn from this. People move to dekalb to get away from all this violence and gang banging. Some kids in dekalb are trying to do too much and don't know the first thing about the streets. These aint the real street here in dekalb, this behavior aint cute nor does it get you respect. All it is going to do is put you in the system and the system aint no place for anyone of any color. Some of these kids out here need to realize they are blessed to grow up in a town with low violence. On my block in chicago we have to lay on the ground at least once a week in fear of being shot come on now, yall need to stop playing games with your lives and realize this aint the place for this bull shit. Half of yall posting don't even know the first thing about english or ebonics so before you fall into the trap of the blame game get your head out of the dirt and learn from both of these young mens mistake of taking life forgranted, go to school to learn not ot play because there is a life outside of dekalb.

All you wanna-be gangbangers in DeKalb need to swallow your pride and be thankful that you don't live on the west side or south side. If you pretty-boy gangstas ever tried acting that way where I live you wouldn't last 2 seconds. It's country in DeKalb. Save the violence for the city.

I agree with you. DeKalb is an hour away from Chicago. It's got a small town country feel to it. I think if these kids think they are all tough s**t they need to go to the city and see what gangbanging is all about. Nobody should ever hear about a murder anywhere but it's shocking to hear about it in DeKalb.

Regardless of all the wanna be gangbangers, whether it happens in the cornfield or the city, crime and shit happen every where. No place is safe anymore.
