I would like hear all opinions on the current state of the Little League organization in our area. Please input areas you feel may need improvement as well as praise. Do not be afraid to speak your mind as this is anonymous. Thanks!

I've been a team mom in the past. The organization itself is good, it's the way the group works as individuals with their own agenda that is the problem. (along with the high cost) The GAME should be about the children in the league and not about this coach or that business.

It seems that way too much emphasis is put on sports in Walton County. Yes, children need this outlet....and it is good for them to learn to play together but not everything in life is about how to play ball.
That said, children that particpate in sports are often over-booked. They practice, practice, practice and play a few games against other teams but the coaches insist that they not miss practice or games. This leaves them little time for other lessons such as piano, art, dance, scouting, or other adventures of childhood.

Children should be well rounded and given many opportunities to explore their talents both on and off the field.

As Team Mom said, "The GAME should be about the children."
