I see Marvin's has closed, and it looks like Sterling Lumber may follow. Lowe's has had quite an impact on DFS.

The "Little Man" fired almost all of its employees that opened the store and the managers were hired off the street and DID NOT have to work their way up...

Wasn't saying it in a snotty way. I just mean that even the ones who really did work hard got fired...the ones who did not were the ones that were kept. I never understood it. Don't be snotty to me as I wasn't snotty to u. Thank You. Have a great day!

Going out of business always impacts someone. But really, Marvins and Sterling have had some customer service issues. Marvins had fair prices on few things. Sterling always had higher prices on things I was looking at. The co-op was a ripoff. Lowes is no angel on pricing either, but overall is the better place to shop. ACE in town is nothing more than an over priced store that is surviving on the old loyal customer. I have never seen things priced as high as ace. Yeah buddy, ace is the place for the higher priced hardware man!
Often three tomes the price of other places.

Oh yee of tiny consumer knowledge. Look at packaging in your mighty walmart chapel. When it says , packaged or made exclusivley for walmart it means your buying sometihng that "looks or appears" to be identical to what you can buy anywhere else, but in FACT you r buying a product made of inderior quality. How do you htink they ca seel the very same thing other stores can for lesser pricing? Its not all volumes purhcases. How do I know? Hmmmmmmmm you could say I was once a walmart minion of the purchasing dept.

I used to be a loyal Walmart shopper till they treated me like a thief for trying to exchange a legitimate product. Haven't shopped there for over 5 months now. You can find everything you need elsewhere in town or online. They will not get anymore of my money!

Did you have a legitimate sales reciept with that so called legitimate product?

Yes, I had the receipt that they gave us when the product was purchased! When we bought the item they scanned the outside of the box and apparently the item inside had a different serial number. I did not know this till I tried to exchange and they all looked at me funny and started whispering about the numbers.

They sold me the product like that! It must of been exchanged previously and the person responsible didn't check the serial number in the box when doing the exhchange and I got stuck with it. In other words they sold me a used product for new then had the gall to look at me like I'm the thief.
