What cheerleader?? Your comment makes no sense. The so called woman is a known drug dealer. Another sad story. And even perhaps a sign of our times.

No, thats what happens when jobs are not a part of the landscape there in walton county. You have a mayor whose been in office for the longest and what has he done to improve the quality of life for individuals in DeFuniak Springs. You have individuals who have been on the city council for years and the same applies to them. Its really simple. Nothing complex about it.. That good ole boy network.. Look at the development thats going on down on the south end of the county.. People moving in with good ideas making things happen.. You all have people there who dont want anything to come to Defuniak. Look around the Southeast and see whats happening.

Look again Verge... there's no beaches in DeFuniak. People like Peter Bos (developer) wants fast returns on their money... The economy is bad everywhere and people are in for the fast and easy money. Things are turning around with new city council members.

COPE is supplying drug dealers with drugs and to create that junk drug called meth. Dr Derkaz is another drug supplier along with Dr Neiman get rid of them and cut the drug market.

Sunshine girl, this has been going on in DeFuniak Springs forever. There are no beaches in Freeport either, and look at how its growing. Maybe its time for a change in the leadership in DeFuniak Springs.

This woman held no job even when times were better. This woman has been involved in drugs and the drug trade since high school. It is not a sign of our economic times or COPE Center that she was dealing in drugs. It is a sign of her character or lack thereof.

Cope, Dr Derkaz, and Dr Neiman the ones who supply these drug addicts with drugs. Drug addicts can't help using drugs but Cope and Doctors do it for greed and don't care who they hurt.

cuz, look at the big picture and not this single incident. There is not alot of good going in DeFuniak Springs. Kids, dont have options there. Half of the tax dollars spent in surrounding counties comes from people in DeFuniak going to the movies, the mall, doctor etc in other cities. Think if this money remained in DFS. Okay, go ahead and turn this on me. Stop, before you even get started. I left after graduation due to the issues I'm discussing with you. A tax base is what keeps cities going, and the tax base there is very limited.. It goes back to what I said, the good ole boy network. There are some there who have done well and probably does not want anything coming to DFS because it will disrupt those who have. Cuz, look at the big picture and not at this two bit dope peddler.

You have to blame HER. Not her family. Not some doctor. Not an agency. SHE chose to sell drugs. SHE chose to put her children at risk. SHE chose to break the law. SHE chose NOT to get a job and "woman up" to raise her kids right and do the right thing with her life and act within the law. SHE chose this. She should have stayed on the right path and done the right thing. There is no excuse. She should be locked up behind bars for a very long time.

jaes - you're nuts! there is such a thing as personal responsibility and choice and something called doing the right thing! millions of people every day choose to follow the law and do the right thing. if this woman wanted to do the right thing and follow the law then she wouldn't be in this situation. no one but her made this choice. no one.

If drugs were not made available by places like cope and by doctors there would be no drug addicts there would only be drunks.

Idiocracy at it's finest! Jaes is a prime example of ignorance breeds ignorance. Just think jaes if there weren't any children in the world there wouldn't be pedophiles either! Plain and simple...nobody MAKES you act a certain way, it's a choice. Climb out of your little box of blame and take ownership of your own sorry, uneducated, useless self. Doctors don't "force" drugs. I can't tell you the countless times I've been in hospital ERs watching people threaten staff & doctors because they've been refused medication. I imagine in your self-riteous perfection the blame still falls on everyone else as being responsible. DeFuniak is fortunate to have your declarations of testimony. Maybe you should run for office!!

Just where do you think drug addict get there drugs. Or where do the illegal drug pushers get the drugs to made meth. The law made it hard to buy over the counter. Its a fact doctors kill more people than are killed in auto accidents.

look the dea is making it harder for family doctors to prescribe the drugs you are talking about. the only doctor in dfs that can legally still write a prescription for schedule III narcotics is dr. howell, to the best of my knowledge. i dont know about COPE. i guess a psychiatrist there could.

It is stupid of you to blame anyone other than the person who did the crime (i.e. the so called woman). It is her fault. Not "the man", not the doctors, not COPE, not her kid's, not anyone but her own. When are we going to take responsibility for our own actions again in this country instead of blaming everyone and everything else??? What a joke. It's her fault. It's her crime. She had a choice. She chose wrong. Now she should pay for her crime.

All I'm saying is the drug distributers are as guilt as the pushers and users. Derkaz and Neiman bote prescribe all kinds of drugs like valium, kalonopin, Quetiapine and all other kinds of drugs.
