The telecoms have been raping the American people on texts. Texting is based on technology that is basically free. In short, they don't have to charge us for texts. But that hasn't stopped them from raking in billions and billions. And you want to talk about us funding poor people with phones? LOL.
Seriously, you need to stop fighting for the rich. Your ancestors had the right idea when they left Poland and never looked back. It was in their best interests. Why not do the same? Why not take the disability and enjoy life? Why not work the system if you have to? Why not vote for the people who will keep social safety nets in place for you? Do you plan on driving that truck for another 25 years? You will need the safety nets. Vote your interests.
Even if you were making $100,000 per year, you're one medical emergency from being wiped out. A cancer battle could have you needing all the benefits the filthy rich want to cut.
As for the division, it is the domain of the republican base. Who cares about gays getting married? I don't. Mouth-breathers act like being gay is a communicable disease. And why is a party with a base against welfare for saving fetuses? Save the fetuses, let the babies starve? You also have white women who are against Affirmative Action. White women benefit the most from AA. LOL The party is full of contradictions. It is divisive by nature. Social conservatism is where the ignorant feel comfortable.
Really now? Then why is it the poorest areas vote Democrat? Because they are so well educated? And why do the most affluent areas vote Republican? Because of their ignorance?

So now that you educated me on how "telecoms" are so wealthy, let me ask, how much money do you have invested with those companies? After all, if I knew of any company rolling around in dough, I would take loans out to make investments. But I bet you didn't. LOL!

As to why I don't take advantage of other peoples money, it's because I am educated enough to know it's the demise of this great country. Look at Greece! Look at the plight of many European countries! Oh! But that can't happen in the good ole USA.

It's what we Republicans call the Cart Theory. When everybody is contributing and pulling an empty cart, the cart flies down the road. As people who are pulling the cart jump into the cart instead, the cart goes slower and slower. When more people are in the cart than those pulling it, the cart stops. and that's where the US is today.

Believe it or not, there are actually those of us out there who care about the future. No, we won't be here, but our children will, our grandchildren will, the children of our neighbors and friends will.

The few freedoms we have left today were granted to us by those who sacrificed for us. Yet now, your advice is to screw other people and only think of yourself. Now what kind of country would we be today if people of yesteryear had your attitude?

Yah, back the 70's, when American industry was thriving and most with unions. Hmmmm. Let's see. What is it that changed? Oh...that's right. "Patriots" like yourself, were told by boss man that worker's rights are a bad thing and you bought into it. CEO's pay increased 800% while they were selling America out to cheap overseas labor and giving themselves stimulus bonuses, the whole time and to this day, you mindlessly follow what propaganda billionaires have told you (see second hand smoke is not harmful, energy emissions have no effect on our environment, breaking up unions like they do in China is good for the working man...)
By the way...the U.S. hotbed of unions has long been the Auto Workers Union. Let me ask, how is Detroit doing these days?

The UAW workers are about the worst of them. Most people don't understand that unless they've had the unpleasant experience of working with them.

I've been driving a truck for well over 20 years now. One of the reasons my car is Japanese is because of what I had to go through delivering to these automotive plants. These UAW workers are some of the most useless human beings on earth.

Out of all my bad experiences with the union workers, the one I remember the best was a delivery I had to make to the Chrysler plant (now closed down) in Twinsburg.

I got to the docks and asked where they wanted me to park my truck. They told me Fred (the supervisor) was the only one who could give me a dock. Fine I said, where is Fred? The workers replied that Fred was in his office, but he's sleeping, and if I wake him up, he'll keep me there all day. They started to laugh and I laughed with them. I can take a joke. But when I went to the office, they weren't kidding. Fred was actually sleeping.

So I went back to the group of guys who were standing around doing absolutely nothing, and explained that I had to get that truck unloaded in order to avoid charging the customer for delay time. One of the workers hesitantly went and got Fred who came out of the office grumpy as all hell. Our conversation went like this:

This isn't our freight.

Then who's freight is it?

This is the millwright unions freight and I can't unload it.

Why not?

Because if I unload it, the millwright workers can file a grievance against me.

Okay, so can you ask a millwright worker to come here and unload this truck?

The millwright workers can't unload this truck.

Why not?

Because this isn't a millwrights dock.

Oaky, where is the millwrights dock?

In front of the building.

Okay, I'll drive around to the front of the building, and you ask the millwright workers to unload me there.

I can't.

Why not?

Because the millwright's dock plates are broken. But I think the maintenance guy knows how to get them working.

Okay, so I'll drive around to the front, and you ask the maintenance guy to get the dock plate on my trailer.

I can't.

Now why not?

Because only a millwright maintenance guy is allowed to mess around with the millwrights dock, and I don't know if he's here yet.

Long story short, I finally went to the front, they finally found a millwrights maintenance guy and they put the dock plate on my trailer. But then nobody was doing anything, so I went inside to see WTF was up. I approached the guy on the tow motor and asked when they would start unloaded me because I've already been there almost three hours? The guy just laughed and said "Now we're on lunch."

A non-union shop would have had my truck unloaded in about a half-hour. But because it was a union shop with union nonsense, I spent the entire morning there.

sounds correct to me how modern unions operate and why things are so expensive and demonstrates how counterproductive the modern unions are.

Affluent people vote Republican for financial reasons. Mouth-breathers vote Republican against their financial best interests. Mouth-breathers are worried about social conservatism. It's a fact that uneducated people tend to be more conservative socially. The minority vote is what throws off the education demographics. Minorities rightfully vote for their best interests. Look at the bible belt. Some of the dumbest white people in existence are in those states. Those states are Republican strongholds.

Yes, my advice is to screw other people and think about yourself. The same way your ancestors did when they left Poland. Why didn't they stay there and work on the country? Why be opportunists? You are in the U.S. because other people in your family followed my line of thinking. Go to where the getting is good. Look out for number one.

Looking out for number one is what the corporations did. They sent the jobs overseas to increase the bottom line. Think they care what happens to the U.S.? The only people who don't look out for number one are the mouth-breathers in the Republican party. At least poor Democrats have the good sense to vote for their financial interests. I can't stand the inbred Republican base. Literally one check from the poor house and still don't get the game. But at least they have their pride. That and $4 can get them a gallon of gas. LOL

And the mouth-breathers have given Americans a bad global reputation. Every country I go to, I hear about the uneducated and angry dolts who make up the Republican base. War-hungry. Crazy about guns and intolerant. Ignorant. The Republican base has really done a number for America's reputation.

Some Big Corporations Don’t Pay Taxes, Either

By BRUCE BARTLETT

One problem with the Republican theory is that many big corporations actually pay little, if any, federal income tax. For example, The New York Times has reported that General Electric, the sixth-largest corporation in the United States, earned $14.2 billion in 2010, but disclosed in federal filings that it had no federal tax liability.

Who Pays the Corporate Income Tax

By BRUCE BARTLETT

Bruce Bartlett held senior policy roles in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations and served on the staffs of Representatives Jack Kemp and Ron Paul. He is the author of “The Benefit and the Burden: Tax Reform – Why We Need It and What It Will Take.”

The problem, of course, is that people must ultimately pay all taxes. Corporations, contrary to the views of some Republicans, are not people. They are legal entities that exist only because governments permit them to and are artificial vehicles through which sales, wages and profits flow. Hence, the actual burden of the corporate tax may fall on any of the groups that receive such flows; namely, customers, workers and shareholders, the ultimate owners of the corporation.

Please. The only people that believe all that nonsense are those with weak minds. The Democrats say--the followers do. If Democrats say Republicans are racist, then damn it, Republicans are racist. If Democrats say Republicans are stupid, then damn it, Republicans are stupid. Sheep are really unbelievable at times. They don't even realize how they're being brainwashed.

It's not the minorities alone who tilt the big cities towards Democrats, it's lower income white areas too like the west side of Cleveland. Oh, but unlike Republicans, they vote for their own self-interest. So why is Michael Moore a staunch Democrat? What about Warren Buffet, the late Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah, Howard Stern and most all of Hollywood? They all know Democrats are out to get their money.

Now the difference between people coming here from other countries to better themselves and Democrat voters is that foreigners of yesteryear benefited at the expense of nobody but themselves. Democrat voters benefit at the expense of others. Big difference.

You are correct on one thing, and that is corporations don't care about American citizens. They care about producing products or services for profit. On the other hand, Democrat politicians don't care about American people either. That's why they are letting this country slide into debt our grandchildren can never repay.

I am curious about your discription of 'artificial vehicles', in what way do you mean that?
In my opinion, the end consumer of any product or service is the one that pays all of any company taxes. Taxes are a business expense that must be passed on. That may be an opinion of semantics but it seems a law of economics too.

Demanding every Business Owner and their Stockholders, corporation, farmer, business, outsourcer sweatshop, and nonprofit, tax-exempt, organization and Church; markets the cost in the wholesale and retail price of his or her product and service; of every worker, consumer, and taxpayer's wages (union contract), healthcare, pension, investment and independent business profit.
This enables every worker, consumer, and taxpayer to pay healthcare insurance premium or pay healthcare provider. Pay ALL taxes and pay for every product and service they use for life. With money derived from wages, investment profit, and independent business profit.
Defying USA Labor Law, the Constitution and Realities demands; Makes free, fair, and affordable commerce IMPOSSIBLE; Makes funding schools IMPOSSIBLE; Makes balancing every budget IMPOSSIBLE; Makes Union workers, consumers, taxpayers, and Americas grandchildren's children life UNAFFORDABLE; and created Ohio’s $1.35 trillion budget deficit, the $40 trillion social security and the $16 trillion national debt. America’s grandchildren’s children are responsible to pay Chinese, Foreign and Domestic Investors and Stockholders interest with this debt until they are 18 years old.
America’s grandchildren’s children cannot afford life and pay this debt with the $7.25 per hour Government mandated labor wage in a hundred million years.

In my opinion, the end consumer of any product or service is the one that pays all of any company taxes. Taxes are a business expense that must be passed on. That may be an opinion of semantics but it seems a law of economics too.
Liberals don't understand that. They believe whenever a cost is inflicted on the big guy, he just digs deeper into his pockets and does with less. Once he or she can't pass on the costs any longer, they leave the state or country.

In recent years, we were hit with all kinds of additional expenses because of environmental garbage. Our trucks now have to use Diesel Emission Fluid (or DEF for short) which squirts some sort of crap into the exhaust pipe to supposedly make it burn cleaner. New trucks cost about $7,000 more than they used to because of all the pollution crap on the darn thing. Then of course that means more crap to repair because 80% of the time when something goes wrong, it's a pollution gadget of some kind.

Since the law of lower sulfur in diesel fuel, it has exceeded the price of gasoline and remains so today.

So all these expenses of more repair costs, DEF, higher priced fuel, and higher priced trucks, of course my employer has to pass on these costs to our customers. Again, liberals don't understand that concept.

BRUCE BARTLETT explains it in the article that Corporations are Artificial Vehicles created by the US Federal Government through laws and those laws specify what constitutes a Corporation. Bruce Bartlett makes a good point in the article too that corporations cannot raise prices to compensate for the corporate income tax because they will be undercut by businesses to which the tax does not apply. It should also be noted that the states have substantially different corporate tax regimes, including some that do not tax corporations at all, and we do not observe that prices for goods and services vary from state to state depending on its taxation of corporations.

That leaves two remaining groups that may bear the burden of the corporate tax: workers and shareholders.

In 1962, the University of Chicago economist Arnold C. Harberger, published an important article arguing that the corporate tax was borne entirely by shareholders. This was unquestionably true in the first instance; that is, when the corporate income tax was first imposed. The tax simply reduced corporate profits and had to come out of the pockets of shareholders, given that it could not be shifted onto consumers.

But as time went by, some economists argued that a substantial portion of the corporate income tax was ultimately paid by workers in the form of lower wages. This resulted because the supply of capital would shrink in order to raise the rate of return on capital. A smaller capital stock would reduce the productivity of labor and cause real wages to be lower in the long run.

Well it may be a combination of all those things in some cases. The point is however that companies don't dig deeper in their pockets to pay these taxes, fees and fines. They always recoup form somewhere else.

Take note how our house liberal (Canton) constantly complains how the workers wages have not gone up that much these passing years. He actually believes that it's all because of greed and what some CEO salary is. He disregards new regulations like Commie Care, increase in unemployment insurance, workman's compensation, increases in health insurance and things like that. It's the CEO's fault.

Remember that there is only so much the shareholders will lose. When that loss gets too great, they transfer their funds into other investments. You can only go to that well only so many times.
