Leverett is installing a city fiber network.

Monticello Minnesota installed a fiber network and it FAILED..

Monticello is now using profits from its municipal booze store to fund the fiber network. The booze store profits were to be used to pay for road improvement. Roads are now NOT being maintained.

Because of the failure of the network and default on bonds the town bond rating has been downgraded further costing residents.

The Monticello network failed because the project was planned to have a majority of residents switch to the fiber network from existing services. However once installed the existing DSL and cable ISPs simply lowered their rates which the fiber network was not able to do because the entire fiber project was bonded for and costs rolled up into the cost to users.

Leverett MAY be in for a project failure just like Monticello Minnesota.

Leverett only has 56k dialup and bad satellite service, what issues do you project? Haves and haves nots? We're good at bubble-living, it'll be fine. seems like spin?
