I think Zion Lutheran School exhibited the right actions by addressing the concerns if its neighbors. It sounds like a great place to send a child for an education and for them to learn by example.

I've seen the "houses and cars" across the street from Zion's baseball field. Any damage caused by foul balls would be an improvement. This is the area where 16 illegals live in 2 bedroom duplexes and park their junk heap cars on the sidewalks in between the perpetual piles of discarded mattresses and generic trash. Maybe you could complain about those conditions the next time you "call the authorities".

Dumbest feature of the Sun-Sentinel, by far.

Man I second this. This is the worst part of deerfield beach. Its boarderline on pompano, and the guy is right. 14 people to a house, garbage everywhere, the only clean part on 10th street is Zion itself. Everything else is crap.

We are so sorry your carboard carport got a hole through it by a baseball. Time to buy a real house.

ps. More drugs flow through this street then columbia.

Isn't this one of the schools that's students were involved in the big fights at Wet'n Wild a few weeks ago in Orlando?

Clearly you have no clue what is across the street from Zion's baseball field! First there are no duplexes across from the field, only houses. Also the cars in the driveway range in price of about $10-25k so I know you really don't know what your talking about. You sound like someone that likes to writenabout issues just to see your name on them. If your going to comment on an issue in the future don't write about things unless you know the truth.

This comment from someone with no knowledge of the area again! You must send your kid to Zion or know someone who does otherwise you wouldn't comment at all. To second the comment of Burgerman is a fault in it's own right. Your name says it all!

I've seen the foul balls from the baseball games fly onto 10th street while cars are driving by, just getting missed by the ball. Could you imagine if a ball hit a car doing 40 plus miles per hour and hitting a house or causing severe accident! Wow, I hope this doesn't happen but it's a matter of time with Zion's fly balls. Watch out people!

To clarify, there are houses across the street from Zion...and they are an eyesore.

You should be embarressed to even admit you live in that area. It's obvious while you're stumbling over to Snappy's to get your daily ration of cheap beer and K1, you haven't noticed the blight.

But that's okay...even if one of those foul balls hits you in head, it won't hurt.
