Another drunk who got off light the first time reoffends and kills an innocent person. When will Minnesota learn to stop treating drunks that drive and drunks that hurt people with kid gloves.

I'm willing to wait for a trial and conviction first. But yes, if convicted, he will be locked up for a very long time I hope.

Actually, if you read the article, he was going 61 mph at impact and brakes were applied. This means he was going faster than 61 mph at some point before impact.

What a jerk the kind of guy that should be shot to death by the police and featured on mothers against drunk drivers videos.

Seriously the laws need to change. Once you get a DUI you are in prison for 5 years at the minimum. This guy and too many others get way too many chances. He obviously showed he cannot be changed for the better. I would rather my tax dollars go to keeping people like him incarcerated. Then he can't kill anymore people because next time it may be someone I know. My heart goes out the the family who lost that man that dies in the accident.

I think he learned alot from the cops. When your drunk and have an accident leave the scene so you don't get a DWI.

The problem here is that he got off easy the first time, and the second, third, forth - really?!?!? I don't think putting someone in prison for 5 year on their 1st dwi is a good idea, 1 out 5 people in america would be in prison, really?!?!? Get a clue.
