Sorry but Murray's commercials have pute off. I'll be honest...I was voting for Rossi but now I can sleep better at night. If Murray can only attack then that doesn't speak much of her 18 years of service.

Thanks, those sound like GREAT reasons to support Patty Murray!
So are you saying that you support allowing the government to run our health care with a sweeping mandate that most who voted on it do not fully understand? I'm for changes in health care...we certainly need that...but when you ask your doctor or the administrative people of the health care organizations that provide our care, how this will affect my family and they cannot answer...it looks to me that too many people have chosen to follow blindly. Instead of asking the 85% of us who do have health care to change how we operate to cover the 15% who are not covered is irresponsible....especially when we have not addressed basic issues like torte reform. One single item that could go a log way in decreasing health care costs.

The second issue is jobs...If you can not support an environment that is business friendly then you are certainly headed for a government supported community.(like communities that live and dies based on the base closure list) WA state is one of the harder states in which to start a business. If you wan to build or develop the costs involved in both time and money have forced larger companies to look elsewhere. Boeing is just one example. Just one example of one issue would be transportation.....without good transportation methods companies cannot bring goods, services or employees to work or market. Our area is gridlocked...didn't wan the Tacoma Narrows Bridge..lots of arm wrestling..thank God we got it. Thought we had a monorail took the property to build from property owners then decided not to build....and then didn't give the property back but sold it at a profit.....Sorry..lots of issues all wrapped into one but the business discussion is a multi facetted discussion.

To summarize....Rossie Yes.....Murray NO....(I did vote for her last time by the way..so this in not a DvsR discussion)

Patty Murray isn't the problem in D.C. Republican obstructionism is. The unprecedented filibusters have held up any and all legislation that would help get things turned around. let's not forget that starting two wars that weren't paid for and huge tax cuts for the most wealthy that weren't paid for was done by Republican's. and let's not forget that we were losing almost 800,000 jobs a month when W. left office. the Dem's may not be doing that great of a job, no doubt, but going back to Republican's would be worse.

1) I am THRILLED that Patty Murray and other cool heads in our national leadership actually made headway on regulating health care despite massive health industry opposition. Health care is not only bankrupting our nation, but it is also hugely unfair, with a third of Americans uninsured or underinsured, with insurance companies refusing anyone with a pre-existing condition and dropping anyone who gets sick. No other rich nation has these problems because they all regulate the industry; it's about time we do the same.

2) The reason we lack jobs is because we have been TOO business friendly, shredding laws that used to control banking fraud, that used to protect family wages, that used to support American manufacturing, that used to reward companies for behaving responsibly. We have essentially legalized theft by the rich of nearly everything that once defined middle class American life. Job security, rising wages, home ownership, a secure retirement, access to health care...all are now going or gone, thanks to the corporate takeover of government that has been under way for the past thirty years. Patty Murray has opposed this all along. Now let's let her help fix the mess.

This is very much a Republican/Democrat battle, make no mistake. If Republicans win again, we can expect a return to the long slide into the pit that Ronald Reagan started and that the Bushes and a long Republican Congress turned into a wholesale giveaway of America to the richest.

Yes, it's a class war. The rich started it and they are winning it. I say fight back!

the old Democratic party has been hijacked by Socialist and Marxist that have changed their name to Progressives in order to make their agenda sound more politically correct. Patty Murray is a Socialist and will not get elected for that reason. American has had two years to sniff out Progressives and we have found out it stinks.

Are you smoking something that isn't legal? Patty Murray is running for a senate seat. I'm not exactly sure where you got the idea that US Senators have anything to do with State Sales taxes and such. Can you give us an example of what bills she's voted for that pertain to your statement above?

Why do so many unqualified voters try to pipe in with comments that only make them look foolish when it comes to understanding the difference between State and Federal positions within government and also understanding what laws and authorities those separate levels of government have.

Sorry hard to vote for someone that cannot admit nobody wants them representing them. Let's face it, Rossi has a lot of shady support form commercial businesses. Government is suppose to represent the people not business. Why does everyone equate a senate or congressional seat to State budgetary restraints. This election is federal, and the federal problems were caused by the Bush administration. Is the memory of the residents in this State that short?
Please people, it was the Republicans that stalled and hindered the Health Care Bill and caused so many changes that essentially it became a watered down, useless bill at suits big business and not the average citizen. It was the Democrats that brought home our soldiers as promised, it is the democrats that are trying to change the health care system for the better.
How can we honestly trust anyone with their hands in cookie jar (Rossi owns a bank) and believe they are not trying to benefit themselves instead of the public. How exactly is supporting bills, laws and regulations that favor the banking institutions going to benefit the average citizen?
If you want, vote for them, but you're a fool to believe big business has any other interest other than their profit off the backs of the citizens. You as a citizen have a say, not big business.
"Dumos Guy"
Maybe one of the most inane posts ever. For your information commercial business is where jobs come from. Thank the lord the republicans stalled the NObamaKare health ripoff. In November good luck to president Nobama getting funding for his ripoff. Almost all of us do not want the government dictating our will. Those like you with your hand out can not get enough government support. Senator????? Murray is a strong proponnent of fire up the printing presses, piss away money we do not have. You say democunts brought home the troops as promised? Did not president Nobama just send an additional 35,000 plus American miltary to the middle east. I am sure those families are thankful.
Just as a change THINK before you post your BS.

The economy is growing?
- Unemployment when president Nobama took office, less than 8%. Now after the "stimulus" bill president Nobama pushed, unemployment grew by 20% to 9.6%. Nobama said it would not exceed 8%
- Home foreclosures in August at the highest number ever
- Consumer confidence in the crapper, Americans are not spending they are hanging on to what they have, they know it is going to get worse befiore it gets better
As one who voted for former president Bush I was disappointed he lost his veto pen after democratswon the 2007 elections and took control of congress.
