My question exactly. Possibly because it was a "crime of passion" coupled with the fact that he himself, through an attorney, alerted the authorities? Im not sure. I do know he was charged with a first degree felony and not with capital murder....he killed my sister, and left her in a closet for two days. Nothing less than death will suffice for him. Sorry dad, its how i feel

I briefly knew Ivan and was baffled when I heard the news. I didn't know how or why he could do such a terrible thing. I am sorry for your families loss.

Sorry for your loss. He should not even been out on the streets.. he doesn't deserve that freedom. To be able to hold his love ones for the last time..

I do know Ivan as he went to school with my son and I am completely shocked and sickened by this tragedy. I never ever thought he could do something like this. I too am confused as to why he is being allowed freedom right now instead of behind bars! My heart goes out to Brianna's family.

Everyone says the same....that they cannot believe he did this. My father being a christian man told me that he would forgive ivan, i just cant yet. I am reminded however that I do NOT know everything and must be patient in letting the facts come out. He has been charged and in this country is innocent until proven guilty. Why was he not charged with capital murder, we will wait and see.

Police are still doing their investigation, and her injuries/cause of death has not been released as of yet. I do hope however they are thorough.

I'm saddened by it all. I hope he gets life in prison or death for what he did to her. I knew Ivan, and have talked to him before... but that's absolute hatred... and unforgivable. He left her there for days too. I can't believe they released him.

Ivan was my best friend for years. I spent all of my childhood hanging out with him, almost everyday. I still cannot believe this. I have no way of even getting a hold of him and talking to him. I am sorry for your loss, I cannot fathom why he would have done this.

Again, dont be too quick to judge....he will and must have his day in court. Yes, i believe he willfully committed this crime and must be punished. The police are doing their jobs and hopefully will be able to put him away for as long as possible. He will have to face a judge and jury and hopefully a needle in the end. Its tragic.

Having known him since 6th grade, I was truly not at all surprised. The story is an extremely sad thing to hear.

Where he is, I do not know. He was supposed to have an arraignment last week but was rescheduled because he was without counsel.

Only word is his arraignment was rescheduled for next month because his attorney was not present for the hearing last week.

Thanks. Does that mean he is currently still released on bail, pending the approaching trial?
