Everybody wants to make assumptions, judge and convict, based on allegations.
There are always two sides to every story.
Arrests & Charges are made on allegations.
It does not determine guilt.
If you were not there, you do not know the circumstances of the situation or what actually happened. You do not know if the accusations were perhaps exaggerated by an angry wife or any other possibilities that could have had a bearing. You do not know if the wife may have instigated the actions, may have been attacking him and perhaps he was only attempting to defend himself. There are so many possibilities and no one here has a clue what really happened.
Naw... none of this could have any relevance. If a woman claims she was assaulted, then it must be true, right?
Give it a rest and let the judge and jury hear the case and make the decision of guilt or innocence!
Well said.

No not buying it, just see it too many times....These days money can get you off for anything. He states “It was a silly thing. The whole incident was just nonsense,” Jeffery Pound said.“It's a personal matter and we ask for your prayers.” Why does he need prayers for such a silly thing? Im sure the burglary of a motor vehicle and verbal harassment was yet just another one of those silly things (charges were dismissed). People I know manage to get through life without criminal charges brought against them just fine. Maybe its just good living. Yeah I know there is a chance he is innocent but it just seems smelly to me....Also I find it odd the official newspaper of Deer Park has nothing about this on its website, maybe it will be in the paper version that sits in everyone's driveway for weeks at a time?
It is my understanding that the charges dismissed in 1998 was his own vehicle with the keys locked in it at a friends apartment complex. Why don't you do some research and let us know since you believe he is guilty. Hell, why do we need a justice system when we have citizens like you and others that can convict people for free at no cost to tax papers.

you find it odd that it's not in the paper? maybe you are unaware, but the last time I looked, the Broadcaster was a weekly printed newspaper that comes out on Thursday's. Thursday would be the day after tomorrow in case you were confused.

OK based on what you say I find it hard to believe an officer arrested him since all they had to do was run the registration or even the insurance could have proved ownership. Its amazing the DA would allow such a case & shame on jeff for not having the DA expunge the charges to have them removed from his record.

Then obviously someone with some real character need to run against him if he runs again. Surely there are a few of those left in this town.
Since he does not have the character you think a member of council should have, why don't you build a glass house, post all your past mishaps and file for council. Maybe it would be determined that people would see that you are a regular member of society and vote for you. Good Luck.

Sorry, I didn't mean to give you too much credit. So, you only get to agree with me twice a day, so you can be right a couple of times.

You may not think it's for the community to decide, but when the councilman starts threatening retribution to the police department who is arresting him after a 911 call, then it is for the community to decide--especially on election day! I guess some people don't react well with excessive amounts of alcohol.

Did he really do that? How do you know, are you in the police department?

Grandpa said it might help the tourism? What is that about?

How would you know what he told them? How would you know alcohol was involved? Are you with the police dept? How do you know what has not been reported?

How do you know the wife called 911? What would make you say this? Have you heard the 911 call? Were you there? How do you know the history?
