I would call that "doing their job". If you break the law, you get punished. Pretty black and white to me.

Are you really that ignorant? The PD would have someone in cuffs if THEY BROKE THE LAW! Deeerrrr! It's called "protecting innocent citizens against the criminal element"--what do you call it, Einstein? Jeeeeez!

Your question should be "what's going on with our young people?"

Deer Park has a policy of being aggressive towards young adults. They believe that if they threaten or arrest them for minor infractions they will move away and prevent crime in Deer Park..... Obviously that's not working, but they continue to do the same.
Also, if the car is older and the driver is younger, you can bet money they're going to be stopped and even searched.

The head cop brought is Tyler TX redneck ways with him. They didn't work well there either (that's why he had to find new employment).

There's been a crew filming the actions of Deer Park PD.... They monitor calls and then drive by when PD is "working".... Some heads may roll.

I would like to see this "policy" of the PD are having to follow in regards to our young people.

Maybe these young people need to stay home with their parents so they don't get into trouble. Ooops, I forget some ZdP parents like toilet their kids do things that are illegal so the can be the cool parents.

Im sure the policy is now written, but it is known to anyone connected with DPPD or city management.
Some DP parents do allow their kids to run wild, but not all. Also, the only people that should be kept under lock and key are numnuts that think young people should stay home 24/7.

Deer Park Police is a mess. They cant solve crime unless its their own cops stealing from the fridge, so they go after the easy "busts" - the kids.

“Ok, maybe I know a little bit.”

Since: Sep 12

But I don't know that.

at least they are a few steps ahead of the lppd. They couldn't find a stolen refrigerator if someone put it on top of police headquarters. On top of carls Jr burger, maybe.

It's getting worse and worse, all this stoping,I hate being stoped,or stomped for that matter.
we could install cameras for monitoring of cops and kids. But what would monitor the adults and the monitors? If only there was some way besides cell phone and internet service provider records that could be used to find out what Deer Parkians are up to and thinking about... what's trending in 77536?

In general I blame society for the trend of moral decline. Locally I blame the school administrators - particularly the little Napoleons of the athletics departments.(corruptors of young minds all) from say.... the last three to five regimes.

I say stop the stoping.

Deer Park is very fortunate to have one of the most professional PD's in the country. I am sure there are some that disagree but from my interactions with them they have always been professional, courteous and responsive to the needs of the public. Chief Grigg is a fine man and runs a very tight ship. Sure there have been some issues but these have to be expected in any venue. By and large they do a fine job in protecting our community.

I am fortunate in that my dealings with any police have been infrequent but in other cities I have seen some very bad actors in the PD.

just don't leave your "power" drinks or deer meat in the cantina fridge...

it will turn the most professional of them into common thieves,,,

Actually it brought to light the least professional of them. It's a damned shame that all the good that these officers do is overshadowed by one clown with sticky fingers. Thank you DPPD for all you do.
