They must not have publicized to much I didn't know about that. I will keep my eye out this time.
They were publicized, you are probably just one of the many who doesn't feel the need to drop your Bon Bons long enough to amble on out into the yard and pick up the damned paper. And then you have the audacity to blame the local press for not promoting it enough. Lazy ass.

Perhaps it was many of the yards that never get the paper?

I heard that Larry Cernosek filed for Mayor. This may be his time. He is not one of the cronies and has always fought against any type of tax increase. May be a viable candidate, at the least worth the consideration.

you want someone who runs over his brother and gets arrested for a felony charge of assault to be the next mayor?

If I'm not mistaken, didn't another candidate get arrested for family violence assault? What's the difference? I sure don't want a landscaper to be elected.

Agreed. And I'm sure there is more to the story of both. Anything is better than 2 more years of the same as the last 32 years of Burke and Riddle Politics. The Gardner will be an extension of them.

Let's hope so. It sure isn't beneficial to the citizens. I wonder if more than 1000 voters will vote in this years election.

I would bet there is more than 1400 vote cast. In the school tax election there was that ammount of votes cast ant that was about increasing taxes. Make no mistake about it, this election is about taxes increasing for our city. Whoever I vote for will have no committment to the Chamber or be in bed with the old administration. I'm not saying Cernosek is a shoe in, but he always votes against more taxes and always has supported no new taxes. I also realize that Pound was against the 4b sales tax increase. For me they are the only 2 choices to consider. With all respect to Garrison' wife running for her current position, one must consider she was appointed by the present administration and may feel loyalty to their causes. I will vote against her and for someone else with no ties to the current regime. Whatever you decide, please get out there and support your chosen candidates and VOTE!

What is Garrisons current position. To my knowledge she is not on Council.

Does Boles wife work for the Chamber? If so, then that is a direct tie to the Chamber's demand for more taxes as presented to the council in the past. Also the city pays the chamber for promoting DP so he has a connected link automatically. Seems like Boles would be similar to Mouton as far as supporting the past so called machine.

I think she was appointed to fill her husband's position for the remainder of his term after he passed. She is no longer on the council.

Pound was for putting 4b sales tax on the ballot.

That's interesting. I bet the Riddler or the bald headed fellow from the Chamber got him to run so Mouton would have help running for Mayor. They both may loose if Burke supports them. That seems to be the message that was delivered last year.
