Does anyone know what is going on between some of the football parents and coach Massey? Saw and email today that said many are going to be at the next school board meeting to try to get him fired. Supposedly he's been accepting bribes such as extravagent hunting and fishing trips with some of the players parents and it just so happens these boys were bumped up to varsity this year. Oh what a web we weave!

If your kid was not good enough to play for this Coach, what makes you think you kid is good enough to play for another coach.

That is what is wrong with kids these days. Let's blame the coach because your kid can't catch, run fast enough, throw a football very far.....

I bet not ONE parent has the guts to go before the board and say that crap about their kid not playing.

Sounds like some jealous parents looking for a reason to blame the coach for their kid's lack of abilities.

The one thing many parents don't want to accept is that their kid isn't as good as another.

Most of these kids do not possess the talent of a potential "professional". They play the game because they enjoy it. The coach is there to teach the kids the basics of the sport, not to train them to be professional athletes. You can't teach someone to be something, that they don't have the inherent talent to be... so, let the kids enjoy their youth, before they get out into the real world and pursue the things they are actually fit to do.

I think he should be fired because of his record in the playoffs. Maybe they could transfer him to a techer position.

Yeah right... and you think everyone in the city government or any other position of authority is only out to screw everyone.

He does teach... as a coach, he teaches football.
However, you would probably complain that he couldn't teach anything else either.

He probably does a lot better at coaching, than you do trying to post in this forum.

Now, if you think you know how to teach football better than he does, perhaps you should apply for the job. Of course, we know that wouldn't happen, as you only like to complain about others and wouldn't stand up to the parents and others complaining about you.

If this coach got the team to the playoffs, that in its self, says something for him, to begin with. Like I said... he was not hired to train professional athletes. He was hired primarily as a physical education teacher and part of that job is to teach kids about the game of football.

The majority of kids that play high school football will never come close to being a star athlete. There's no logic or reasoning to think that a different coach will bring the current batch of kids into some sort of "dream team".

Give it a rest, Scoob. There's much more to life than high school football. Take it for what it's worth... "extra-curricular activities" that a FEW like to participate in, before they give up their childhood fantasies and go on to their realistic ambitions in adult life.

He has had to compete against a Northshore team almost every year in the playoffs. Northshore has some of the most talented players around and they have double digit D-1 signees almost every year. How is he supposed to win against that when you are not as talented?

DPTX, what do you mean "there's much more to life than high school football"? I thought you were an American.....lol

Yes, go to their games. And the cycle continues. "Why isn't MY LITTLE JOHNNY the star quarterback. Let's fire the coach." "Why is MY LITTLE DEBBIE head cheerleader"

Give me a break!
Most COLLEGE players are those that were the EXCEPTION, not just those that "wanted to play" regardless of their level of talent, as with High School football.

Massey has to work with what he has, in any given year. Colleges CHOOSE most of those that play on their teams and offer scholarships to get the better players to attend their school. BIG FRIGGIN' DIFFERENCE!

Try comparing apples to apples, instead of pineapples. As usual, your comments aren't making any sense.

[BTW... there is NO "e" at the end of "develop". So, do you have a college education? If so, did you play football in college? And what pro team did you go on to play with professionally?]

WHAT!? You mean you're going to try to hijack this thread and start talking about 4B or something else, instead of answering the questions?

Have you been taking lessons from HeZeTrd?(or maybe it's the other way around?)

Please keep your posts "on topic".
If you want to discuss 4B, then start a new topic. I know you know how to start new posts, as you've been notorious for starting new posts about the same subject over and over.

Now, if you wish to comment on THIS topic... you could start by answering my questions, instead of ignoring them like HeZeTrd does and making off-the-wall comments that have no relevance.

Hey Scooby, with that statement, you must believe that his next QB will be able to complete 100% of his passes. They will win every one of their games because he will develop (thanks DP, I would have probably put an "e" on the end also) the best players in the world. Of course they will have NO limitations.

DPTX, I can't wait to see this QB throw the ball 120 yards. That will be fun to see.

I will have to go to Vegas and bet on Notre Dame to win the national championship. With Scooby's thinking, there is no way that they could lose.

I probably would have put an "e" on there too. I am not a good speller. I have to look everything up in the dictionary.

Maybe you should type your comments in MSWord (or the free OpenOffice.org version) and then copy and paste them here, after running spell check in Word.
OR... you could just download the Firefox browser and use it instead of IE. It has a fairly good spell check built into it and it's a lot more secure than the Microsoft IE browser, too.

Then again, I didn't say anything about Scooby's misuse of commas, instead of using periods and apostrophe marks in his sentences. In that case, he should stick to Word and use the Grammar Check feature, as well.

Thank you. I know this machine can check my spelling. I just don't know how to use it. Now you are telling me it can check my grammar too? Now you know how dumb I really am.

Scooby, have you asked the Oracle about Gasbag's penis? I think that would be on-topic in just about any of these threads.

Hezekiah, I am sure you know that it is not about the part of the male anatomy that you mentioned. I can now see that the oracle is correct once again as it has often detailed how you take simple straight forward truth and factual common sense conclusions and twist them to fit your lefty loony sensibilities.

In his admonition to scooby the oracle IMHO is simply and rightly attempting to enforce and educate Topixers in the proper rules and decorum of all things "Deer Park" and in particular this forum, which is obviously very, very important to the oracle.

Scooby please do not do as Hezekiah suggested, but please do expand on your recent 4B comment.
